Turned out great ,except that one spot you said nothing will grow there and you weren't kidding it's a short there. Cant wait to see how you set up the new Reef and dont forget about Kenny🤔.🐟😂👍

Should put that PC Rainbow on the bottom of your new tank. I think you’ll like seeing the rainbow of colors develop in lower light. Mine has green/yellow/red with blue growth tips in 200 par.
Essentially, I don’t try to control nutrients too much and try to keep no3 around 3 ppm and nitrates around 0.1 ppm ; I let my cuc and herbivores eat the algae the grows
I know the feeling. I just broke down my tank that was up for 16 years. It is sitting by the garage waiting for big trash pick up. Question. Are you going to be moving the rock from this tankbor just to coral? Are you moving the mushrooms too?
I will be breaking the acros out of the existing rock work and leaving all the mushrooms behind… they kinda of did a hostile take over in my Reefer 250 :)
the wb180 was the biggest tank i can fit through my house into the basement. The RS model that would have fit into my home is slightly smaller than the wb180. I also liked the plumbing that comes with the WB a bit more than the RS. so far, my overflow and sump is really quiet. On the RS, i can never get the overflow to be silent.
Sorry, I have to leave a dislike. Your Red Sea Reefer 250 tank has been the source of my motivation to keep doing better. I hate to see it go away. Anyway, good luck on your next build!
Sorry to disappoint you wild! I am a bit sad to be shutting down the reefer as well. Hopefully there will still be opportunities to learn from my mistakes in the next build! all the best
