I’m definitely not as knowledgeable as you are, but when the lockdown hit I had friends contacting me about how they couldn’t get any seeds. I told them when I was literally dirt poor my garden plants were mainly from the produce department at the grocery store. I could have a meal, save and plant the seeds and there ya go! 😃 It’s an amazing feeling when your $ is near Zero but your garden is busting with produce. 😍
We have clay soil. I have been adding livestock compost, non packing sand (when I can afford a dump truck) and my garden area is pretty sweet. My problem is blue berries and green beans always die. I’ve read that it’s a nitrogen issue. What can I do besides container plants if anything? Thanks to anyone with some advice. 😊

Did you ever make the video on making your own soil? I’m in Europe now with no soil coz I’m in an apartment. Can I make compost and just use that as soil or do I need to buy a bag of soil to mix it in?
I Got this from Google: Watering 1-2 times each week works best for healthy watermelon plants. Aim to keep the soil evenly moist at all times-not too dry and not too wet. Give your young watermelon vines 2 inches (5 cm) of water every week. Decrease water to 1 inch (2.5 cm) weekly once fruit sets on the vines.
