What a great weekend! Goodwood Revival... All those wonderful cars, bikes, drivers ... and girls! Please listen to the film using good loudspeakers - the sound of the cars & bikes is incredible - and fantastic!!!
What a desiderable eventi! Everithing is reliving : People , cars, Music, colours, sounds. Love the perfection of restoring, made by art and passion. I miss the. ..smells.
Every person who comes to Britain and wants to make it their home should go to this. It’s the absolute essence of what Britain was in the years leading up to and after the Second World War.
I marshalled the first five Revivals and this brought back some great memories. I remember Ray Hanna's 30ft flypast between the grandstands, watching Moss, Surtees, Brabham Salvadori racing. Going to a poorly Jag and actually seeing Frank Synter smile! Attending the Sunday evening presentations and talking to Bobby Rahal who recognised me a few months later at Brands Hatch. Seeing the greatest saloon car race in '99 when Gerry Marshall won from near the back of the grid in the wet. Barry Sheene's last race in 2002. The sad atmosphere of the 2001 meeting, just after 9/11 with the Stars & Stripes lining the start finish straight and the Spitfires in the air dipping their wings to the Mustangs in salute. And walking away from getting Alan Jones' autograph when I saw a black stetson to my left. I passed up the scribble of a world champ to get Carroll Shelby's and it my most prized autograph.
Thank you Stephen for sharing your memories with us. That's exactly what I like about Historic Racing: These awesome machines and some of the alltime heroes that mastered them. And the flair that went with it. In their heigh days late 70's and 80's I didn't think of going to races being a kid and youngster with a single mum in the Bavarian Alpes. But that's why I enjoy these events even more nowadays. And sadly there will be fewer and fewer of our heroes left every year. All the best to you. 🙂
@@HarryHunterx thanks. I don’t marshal now and only watch The Revival on TV. It doesn’t seems the same now watching the likes of Christian Horner and Adrian Newey race these machines. I’m glad I managed to see the those great legends race, even in there seventies and they could still race.
@@stephenbrown4211 Dear Stephen, I thought so reading your comments. But for me it's the only chance to grab some of that feeling nowadays.I ve had the honour presenting the starters at the Edelweiß-Roßfeld hillclimb Revival 2019, and announced the likes of Walter Röhrl, H-J Stuck and the late Eberhard Mahle and interviewed the son of Ludovico Scarfiotti. So I can imagine how you must have felt coming so close to these legends. All the best from Munich and keep on watching Goodwood as I do on Telly. Best regards Helmut Helmberger
I wish I could be in the UK right now. I love this. I am an old fashioned kind of person. This is a sight for soar eyes. Keep up the good work guys. May classic racing live on: let the younger generation know the history. Keep it up.
A bucketlist event! Goosebumps watching this video. Outstanding editing, fabulous people, great cars, splendid clothing , superb car and music sound. Thanks for sharing !

I experience severe withdrawal symptoms , not having the chance to go there this Year, so had to watch this fabulous Clip. It brings all the action and the scenery back to live. Excellent clip.
Alle so cool! … und eine Konsequenz: Ich brauche einen blütenweißen Mechaniker-Overall!!
Herr Schmidt, that almost qualifies as art, with a lot of long shots catching people unawares. You probably compromised your own day out for the benefit of youtube viewers. Audio is extremely good.
Beautiful montage!! Did you made all the shots on your own? What gears have you used? I’m going to visit this year’s Revival (unfortunately on my own) and I’d love to create a personal montage when I return home but I don’t know which cameras should I bring with me
Hi! Thank you, Riccardo. Yes, I did all by myself -including sound and editing. I used a Panasonic GH5 with Panasonic 12-35/2,8 and Panasonic 35-100/2,8. All clips are 25p 2160 (UHD). Sound: This was the first time I used my brand new Sennheiser MKE 440. A brilliant directional stereophonic microphone ! Lens: Nowadays I prefer the (much cheaper) Panasonic 14-140/4-,56. You don’t need to change lenses because you can quickly change from 28mm to 240mm !!! The quality is more than fine for 2160/UHD. Another way is to use a pure video camera, f.e. Sony ax700. (Easier to handle) So have much fun at Goodwood Revival!!!
This must be 2018 then, unless a time machine has been used, besides it didn't rain this year.dont remember it raining last year either. But who cares it's a great video
ça me rappelle st tropez.....il y a ceux qui sont sur les yachts qui regardent la foule d'en bas et ceux d'en bas qui contemplent babas sur les yachts .....à part ça certains s'amusent bien .....
