Thanks for the video. One question. How to see the consolidated data of conversion received in the adwords dashboard. Do i need to track it in Google analytics or can i see it directly in adwords account after implementing conversion tracking code?

Great question! I suggest using Google Tag Manager. It’s a bit technical, but once your comfortable you can track a whole range of actions. I suggest watching this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zrI0FlNSSA0.html and consider my courses.

Hey Benjamin, great video as always! :) I hope you don't mind answering my question - I am wondering how you can track conversions with a video campaign which is set to video discovery and the website link is in the video description. The cookie seems to be getting 'disconnected' once the user gets from the video to clicking the website link, as it's not a direct 'click to website' type of ad. Hope you have a few minutes to answer, I've tried everything. Thanks so much either way for your amazing content

Hi Terri, you'll only see AdWords receiving credit for ad clicks, so for a video discovery ad this would be the click on a CTA overlay. If people click a link in the description, then this isn't regarded as an ad click and therefore won't be tied directly to your AdWords campaign. You should still be able to see this reported as a referral in Google Analytics. You will probably also want to look at your view-through conversions to see the impact of your video discovery ads. Hope that helps!

Sir I Need To Know That After Doing These All We Get Two Codes Golbal And Event Code, My Question Is Where To Put The Code On The "Thank Page" Only just before tag both codes, or on Home Page tag

Hi Benjamin, can you further clarify the scenario where both Analytics tracking and Adwords conversion tracking are installed for an ecommerce site, specifically Shopify? I've noticed that the Adwords conversion tracking always seems to be double that of Analytics, so I was unsure if the Adwords conversion tracking is counting the transaction from Analytics + purchase conversion from Adwords. If so, why would I use the purchase conversion tracking and not just stick to Analytics? Thank you for the helpful video btw

Hey, nice video but how do I track it after? i have done all steps, added the code to THANK YOU PAGe, I have people signing up but I don't see "CONVERSION RATE" results in my Google Ads account? is shows 0.00 but I have ppl signing up...do I have to do somethings extra to see conversion rate in google ads account? thanks

Hey José, are you able to import a conversion from Google Analytics instead? It's super important to be able to see conversion data in Google AdWords, otherwise you'll be flying blind and in my experience it can be more painful than getting the conversion tracking implemented. (Otherwise without any conversion tracking you'll need to pick between 'Maximize Clicks' and 'Manual CPC' as a bidding strategy.)

Hi. I have an issue. Seems like my Google ads account counts each time someone goes back to the order confirmation page as a new conversion (it's on Shopify), so my results are super inflated. Have you encountered this before? How can I fix it? I set up the conversion tracking via the Google ads account. Thanks

Quick question, I have several landing pages on my website from different Adwords campaigns. If a lead fills in the form from any one of these, they are sent to the same 'thank-you' page. I could count the thank page 'view page' as a conversion, put the codes in GTM for easier management, but, it seems to me, I'm going to have several Adwords conversion codes firing on this thank-you page view. I am guessing the GCLID info would follow the visitor to the thank you page and the correct campaign will get the conversion data? Is there a better way to do this without having to create a separate thank you page for each and every landing page?

Great question! One way to acheive this would be to use different query parameters depending on the form that's submitting to the thank you page. For example, /thank-you?form=one and then /thank-you?form=two, etc. You can then configure a goal conversion in Google Analytics or set your triggers in Google Tag Manager to look for the page and the query parameter.
