My phone doesn't get a popup and the PC is not making any connection sound. Tried on WIn10 and 11. I sadly don't have a Mac to try. I did all the settings like default usb settings etc, didn't change anything. Also device manager showing nothing new and different cables won't help either. All I can say is it used to work... Kinda sucks. You got any other idea? I can't find anything other on the internet.

Doesn't do this on my heap of junk Pixel 8. The worst phone I've ever owned and that includeds TWO Huawei heaps of junk. I'm going back to Samsung and Sony. Fuck this for AUD1100.00 bucks.

When I try it the "Use USB for" and all options are grayed out so I can't select "File Transfer". Why is that?

If its not showing up when plugged in go to settings/ Connected devices/ usb charging/file transfer.

but i dont want to transfer all my files from my phone to computer i just want to transfer one single video on a windows computer this looks too complicated

Didn't work for me, the commands were dimly lite and were nor not responsive to the command even though I could see them ?

On my Pixel 7A I had to go to settings and search for USB transfer to enable the connection. It does not show on the pull down screen and there is nothing wrong with my cable.

Mine was the same had to look for the proper settings but everything else was spot on

Thank you very much for an awesome video. The first step worked for me, the scrolling motion which shows the silent notification which you never get a prompt for how odd is that. When I do this on my Pixel 8 the pics are all out of order making it worthless pretty much.I would love to return this not ready for prime time phone but Google keeps saying they will help me fix glitches which doesn't happen

I agree wholeheartedly. Photo transfer is a friggin nightmare. Sometimes connects to a PC but not always and then the photos that I took with the phone cant be seen!!!! WTF is this heap of junk?
