Everyone’s talking about “Gradually watermelon” but no one’s talking about “You and I have tightly linked to the agricultural economy and all the activated meals”
I sing the ones from “Molecular Shape of You”, the science parody/lesson. It’s exactly what she says about shapes and biology! m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f8FAJXPBdOg.html
I showed my mom this recently and she doesn’t even know the original song, but all day she was singing “I’m in love with your system” under her breath. 😄
This song summarized in 1 or 2 sentences. A girl who is in Highschool plays monopoly with her family. She really likes shapes, she eats watermelon, she’s scientific, depressed, has sleep paralysis, part of the Confederate army, and usually is the only person getting the railroads in monopoly.
The original version always plays at my work, so I sometimes find myself quietly singing some of the translated lyrics to myself. I feel like one day a coworker or customer will overhear this and I'll have to explain why I'm singing "gradually watermelon".
The only thing that comes out of my mouth when I sing shape of you is *you and I have tightly linked the agricultural economy and all the activated meals, it fills his pocket, blessing all the verbs*
school be like “Son, we speak many words.” English teacher “Push and pull like the work of change.” Physics Teacher “I’m in love with your system.” Biology Teacher. “I like shapes!” Geometry teacher. "We begin to dance, and now I want to sing!" Theatre "We will also talk about the good times and the dry times." History Teacher "Every day I find some new railway." Engineering Teacher "Gradually Watermelon." Lunch Lady improved version of officiallacrossestick's original comment!!
Three years ago, I was in a pretty rough spot emotionally and I began to listen to music and watch funny videos on RU-vid to make myself feel better. Malinda, I have you and many other great RU-vidrs to thank. Your content is incredible and still makes me laugh. I hope you're doing well and that one day we could be friends. I know that second request is far off but my gratefulness is not. You do not know this, but your content helped me. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it saved me and gave me motivation. Here I am, very close to graduating college and I love you very much. Thank you. Thank you so much.
I love how the original song started playing in my gym class recently, and i sang along with the translated lyrics and my friend looked at me in disappointment lmao it was amazing
She did a behind the scenes with outtakes from some of the videos, and she (and her costars) were cracking up. It sometimes takes many, many takes for her to get thru the whole thing with a straight face.
I know, how can you not help but sing "You and I have tightly linked the agricultural economy and all the activated meals it fills his pocket, blessing all verbs"
Anant Mishra "Come on" turning to "gradually" is understandable. If I had to guess, maybe "baby" went to "offspring", or "fruit of the loins" even - in which case it went to "fruit" - if it was something like "offspring", then maybe "bud", "sprig", etc. and then that went to fruit? Connecting "babies" and "fruit" isn't too difficult once you get down to brass tacks, because a lot of the language surrounding the birth and growth of things is similar.
Geometry teacher: I like shapes! Biology teacher: I'm in love with your system English teacher: Son, we speak many words Cafeteria lady: Gradually watermelon That one history teacher: I AM THE CONFEDERATE ARMY!
Um... "I like shapes" "Every day I see some new railway" "You and I have tightly linked the agricultural economy and all the activated meals" "It fills his pocket, blessing all verbs" "I'm in love with your system" So... Shape Of You is just about a guy who seriously like geometry, biology, geology, agriculture and grammar?
I interpret this as a nerd in love with a classmate and they’re hobbies including traveling to see railways and growing watermelons..they also really enjoy shapes! “I’m in love with your system” seems like a nerdy way to flirt
I love how the lyrics range from absolute nonsense ("I like shapes!", "Gradually watermelon") to genuinely thought-provoking ("Push and pull like the work of change", "my conscience pressing rain").
Ed: I may be crazy, don't mind me. Google Translate: Do not worry about the demon Teacher: "Excellent work, boys! I will be Grading your homework at lunch." (Grading homework, casual about the demon... ...because she is the demon.😶)
One day I was thinking of this at work and I accidentally said “as a virgin you and I know that I wanna love you” and my coworkers looked at me like I was crazy and I’m just like... “Malinda Kathleen Reese, look her up”
"Friends and my friends in the class" "DrInK yE rApIdLy" "As a virgin, you and I know that I want to love you" "I love man cubits" "Do not worry about the demon" "I like shapes" "I'm in love with your system" "Now my linens, such as spices" "Every day I find some new railway" "Oh me, oh my, oh me, oh my" "Taxi ride, please kiss the back seat" "Gradually watermelon"
"Do not worry about the demo- DEMON" "Gradually watermelon" "DRINK YE RAPIDLY" "i love man cubits" "my conscience pressing rain" "Yesterday you were in my class Now my linens, such as spices" "everyday i find some new railway" "I'm in love with your system" "Oh me oh my oh me oh my" "I like shapes" Google translate you've really done it this time
"The tree" "I love man cubits" "Do not worry about the demon" "I like shapes" "Now my linens, such as spices" "You and I have tightly linked the agricultural economy and all the activated meals it fills his pocket, blessing all the verbs" And of course... "Gradually Watermelon"
*I AM THE CONFEDERATE ARMY* me: well ok then *proceeds to walk away baffled that history lied, this whole time the confederate army was 3 identical girls on a RU-vid video* lol but seriously that part cracks me up.
