This is a great selection of songs from Soviet era. I'm pleased that this radio station doesn't include songs like The Soviet March from Red Alert 3 or The Anthem Of USSR since those two, though iconic, are pretty stereotypical. The art styles during the Soviet era are never that aggressive and militant like in many American action movies, on the other hand, Russian folk songs are gentle, soft, brisk and sometimes even melancholic but never pretentious because they are composed by plain, hardworking proletariat. Military songs like Polyushka Polye (Song of the Plains), the Sacred War, the Red Army is the Strongest etc are passionate and motivational because most songs were composed during the great patriotic war against fascism invaders. Apart from that, The Chilean left-wing song El Pueblo Unido Jamás Será Vencido is a great addition to Gopnik Radio Station, symbolizing the Internationalism and world revolution, to liberate people from the claws of imperialism and colonialism. Overall, I really enjoy this mod, and I can see the efforts the creator put into this mod, it is not a poorly edited hodgepodge with frivolous Slavic memes. Thank you very much, my comrade. Respect from China.
Very proud. FOR THE INTERNATIONALEEEE! Genuinly I fall asleep everynight singing the Militant version and staring a map on my wall I got from a newspaper. Still waiting for the next update. Paint the map red FOWARD TO THE REVOLUTION.
> Be sole survivor > Serve in US Army to fight communists for years > Get frozen > Wake up 200 years later > Get a pip-poy > Check radio and found this
Thank you comrade! Thank Brandon from Old World Radio, he picked the music. I just came up with the station name, graphics and the lines for the host! Wonderful team at my back, holding the line Brat!
I am sorry, this was a collaboration and a such I did the writing and most of the creative process, while my friends did the technical stuff. I am sure you can contact Old World Radio and they can provide you with a complete and full list my friend. Best of luck!
I'll definitely download it if it has some russian folk or Cossack music! Fast paced music makes it all the more exciting whilst you go throwing mini nukes everywhere!
everyone else is talking about commie simping stuff or dunking on them with the occasional person talking what they use this mod for, I intend to be a part of the ladder group bc communism dunks on itself, so in turn this is why this mod is cool af, mind you this is all head cannon stuff that has no real basis beside other games or pop culture , such as twilight 2000, or James Axler's death lands books, so keep that in mind. but with mods like this and say, frozen valley, the mod that takes you to a frozen pre war camp likely north of boston, or just a winter overhaul mod, i tell stories of what might be happening on the other side of the world in the former soviet union, dropping down settlements around the theme, in turn if i went to frozen vally, made a whole city in one of the settlements, i would use communist army uniform mod to make a post war, bearly standing, post war communist party, holding onto power and extorting local farms around them for their glorious party, and this was the parties radio station, to counter that though, there were other settlements, led by warlords or local strongmen, maybe a group or two of anarchist around there now n then, all fighting each other, the elements, the bandits and of course the wolves. often enough i would do this to just be a potato farmer in a hamlet far away from the big cities, sitting out there in the frozen planes, occasionally hunting a few animals with the few bullets i had, ralely able to afford more when they were around. it wasnt a lot of fun, mostly about the environment, not meant to be a shooting sim adventure but a struggle to survive. always trying not to freeze to death, always looking out for the groups of roaming bandits, who did have ammo and real guns, not whatever crap grandpa left you that they will likely scrap for firewood. and on top of that just waiting on potatoes to grow. overall, im not a commie or anything, but i think it was good story telling, even if none of the npc's were talking about what was going on it wasnt too hard to see.
I've been trying to find track #3 for a bit now, and I havent yet. I do know that it is before the talk about the guards and is in the beginning of this song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-af4psHf6--U.html
The Sole Survivor would hate this station. They were a proud American who were rather patriotic and get frozen for 200 years to see their home is destroyed by the Communists just to see a Soviet Radio station is still up and running playing the music of those who destroyed their home.
