Dont buy this grip. It do not have anything to firmly hold the GoPro. Its just a sliding grip. Once when i dived into water GoPro got detached and it was almost lost. Luckily I got it back. From my personal experience never buy this one !
I was swimming in the Ocean with the Handler, and I made a jump of a rock and while I was swinging my arm the GoPro went off the Floating Grip and flew into the ocean. I lost it. Just wanted to say this so it doesn't happen to somebody else
I just purchased this, I have to say it’s absolutely ridiculous that it does not come with the buckle mount in the box . That being said , I purchased two buckle mounts on eBay for about $5 so no biggie .
When i slid the thing on i had to lift the rubber up. Once it was on it was too tight to go back down again, how do i fix this? Could i just remove the rubber entirely?
I had the same problem until I watched how easy it was in the video. Discovered that I had to shove the buckle mount a bit further in, then the rubber piece closed easily.
Why on earth do they think a sponge handle is a good idea? I want something I can wipe down, not something that's going to literally absorb pool water with its chlorine and God-knows what else, or even microscopic life if using it in the sea. Looks like I'll be picking up a 3rd party alternative.
I finally pushed the slider mount far enough in so the rubber flap could be pushed down. That's important otherwise the camera can fall off. The demonstrator should have mentioned this.
I'm also curious how the new grip might handle noise travelling up the grip to the camera, particularly the Hero5 black which seems to have more sensitive mics than the new Hero6.
Same here !!! The sponge grip really isn’t great especially with the Hero 6 as the mic is so sensitive it’s picks up every hand shuffle, they really need to make a rubberised handle
same here, why the h*ll don't GP include instructions. BUT, like you, the rubber grommet won't go back into the mount when the mount is in place on the grip. Seems either poor design or poor quality control to me. I have a reply from GP waiting on my sending my video of attempts to mount the dratted thing so will update this comment when that is to hand
Hi, I know this is an old video now but I wonder if you could reply... I am about to buy a GoPro Hero 11 and wonder if "The Handler" will fit inside the provided case or not? Thanks :)
The buckle mount seems redundant. You still have to use the 3 prong mount so I don’t understand why the buckle mount even exists. The buckle mount is the reason I went with another brand over the Gopro el grande.
I have the older version of handy; to tell youthe truth I do not like the latest model , because you need to use 1 additional part to mount your GP. I reckon thickness does not matter to me as well as more orange to see it in the water- I do not intend to play hide-and-seek with GP ;) Anyway, nice to see the review, thx 4 that & carry on reviewing accesories and more!
I used to have one of the old ones but no more, so I wonder... Do I have to buy an accessory to attach my new GoPro (the cheapest , @ $129 BBuy, arriving soon on the mail) ? Not included in the box? Are they assuming that I already bought the accessories kit?
Yo I need help I had this and it was my first time with it today in the water and I put the rubber part down after and it was all strapped in and the GoPro came of it at wedge on my first wave with it
There are no shutter buttons on the grip you will have to manually push the shutter button on the GoPro, use voice command Use the remote or set a timer
Your voice volume drops beginning from the approx middle of the sentence to the end. It is fine in the beginning, as your sentences begin with a volume burst, but then it drops to a near-inaudible level towards the end, and it is near-impossible to hear what you are saying without straining one's ears or increasing the volume. VERY irritating! Might need to learn some volume modulation for speech. No hate, just giving you feedback. Have stumbled upon several of your videos, and they all have the same irritating volume-drop issue.
I have a doubt there is something which says remove in the little plastic , not in the cam not in the handler .. in the little part that goes in the middle ... the plastic says remove but I can not take it out .. can you please tell me how ?
+ajngo machu You should’ve got a buckle mount when you purchased your GoPro. It’s the little attachment used to attach it to the box. Go to Amazon and just search for GoPro Buckle mount if you have lost or misplaced it
Greetings. Very good review. quick follow up question...can you mount the gopro hero 5 with the waterproof casing on this? Yes I know the hero5 is waterproof but for added protection I prefer to use the waterproof casing.
@@AirPhotography you didn't show it when you opened the box and you said it hadn't come with anything else so I don't know how you can say you don't remember.
Would anyone know the total height of each version (excluding the GoPro)? I have a 3rd party carry bag but I'm not sure it'll fit, and I haven't been able to find out the length. Not even the GoPro website mentions it for the Handler (only for the other Grips).
