Anyone have issues while having ND filters mounted to the Hero 9 on a mount or pole where the footage comes out "shaky". I'm new to using ND filters with the Hero, and all my footage comes out shaky and unusable. Thanks all!
Hi ! Very good review. I wanted to ask about a gimbal. I bought few years ago the Zhiyun RIDER-M gimbal which worked with the GoPro 4. Is there any adapter I can buy so I can attach a GoPro 9 to it ? or maybe other small wearable gimbal for the new GoPro 9 ?!
The best explanation I have seen! Thank you! I would love to know what is your recommendation (if there is one) regarding the use of a filter for still image on Go Pro? How it will affect the image quality? Thanks a lot again !
Hey bro hope you are well. Sorry we haven't been able to visit you for a while we were in Bulgaria then Malta were we got stuck due to Covid and flights we're cancelled. We really want the go pro 9 we currently have the Go Pro Hero 8. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us really appreciate it. Stay safe and catch up again real soon.
I use Freewell ND16 on my GoPro Hero9. My setup are: 5K, 30 FPS, Shuttle: 1/60. ISO 100 - 1600. White Balance: Auto. Sharpness: High. Color: GoPro. I went skiing under bright sunlight and with the snow on the ground, the sunlight reflect even stronger. All video came out over expose, too bright. What setting that I got it wrong? Should I set the max ISO at 100 since it's very bright sunlight. Should I set the White Balance to 5500K and don't use Auto White Balance? Sometimes I don't have time to edit after post, can I set Sharpness to High, and Color with GoPro?
One the iso is way to high, when you're in the snow play with the white balance until the color looks right but have your iso lowered first to 100 for maximum before playing with that in the snow. The other options are kind of up to you but those first two things are musts. That is a very bright environment.
Hi great channel. So clear. I have a question can you pleaseeee make a video about go pro hero 9 timewarp. What are your best settings? I want to see the effect with the media lens mod. Greetings from Rich en RU-vid Netherlands.
My experience has been that GoPro 9 stabilization at lower shutter speeds yields an unusable picture (not only is stab bad but it literally distorts and blurs any motion). I have to use my gimbal if I use Nd filters.
I have the same but only when shooting at a shutter speed below recommended settings. 48 at 24fps doesn’t give me any issues, unless shooting action sports etc.
@@RehaAlev Many reviewers recommend turning off Hypersmooth due to stabilisation issues even at 24 fps & 1/48 shutter. Gimbal or Gyroflow/Reelsteady in post seem to be the only real solutions for action cameras as built-in GoPro stabilisation cannot cope with the motion blur induced by using ND filters. Using a 4x shutter speed (1/96 sec) can help with stabilisation according to some reviewers.
As always, Great Information! I have a question if I may; How do I know if I choosing the correct ND filter on the GoPro? Normally, I keep an eye on EV keeping it neat 0.0 or slighty below but, if I use the 180-degree rule EV isn't available. Thanks again for another awesome tutorial. 😊👍
im a newbie on gopro, ive watch your videos for hero 9. From no idea on how to maximize the power of gopro i really learned a lot thank you! and please keep on making videos for a newbies like me :) +subs !
I am a gynaecologist. I want to shoot vaginal surgery with go pro. The distance between my go pro mounted on my head and the region of my work will be about 4 to 5 feet. Will go pro record the surgery. Will it be on focus. What kind of setting should I use. Does go pro hero 9 work in this situation or any other better cameras. Do I need to add any zoom lenses to the go pro. Thanks for you answers.
