I was expecting something innovative. I saw the new wide angle lenses, I got excited. Then I saw the review of The Verge and I saw is totally useless, pricy and still not available (maybe next year, like mediamods?). Definitely keeping my Insta360 one r and its real interchangeable lenses (360, 4K and 5.3K 100mpbs)
@@solentflyerparagliding you really don't: 1. It will crash, much more often than you expect. 2. The touch screen is super hard to use and will annoy you every day. 3. The scheduled capture is not working. Of course GoPro won't admit it, but will "Improve" it with some not specified in time firmware update. 4. The max lens mod wouldn't first screw to the correctly to the camera, after 100 tries and scrubbing metal from the lens body, it will eventually somehow will. 5. GoPro support is of course friendly but useless and keeps repeating their scripts almost like bots. 6. After spending 4 hours with GoPro support, uploading videos for them to prove DOA, they will take 2-3 weeks to exchange the faulty product.

I might hold myself from getting 9 coz of the same reason. Gopro is only useful for actions and vacation. Aside from that, smartphone is enough. Sadly not an active traveller or in sports

Wow never actually met someone who is featured in these videos. One question, did you record that with de GoPro9? If not then the footage showed is just all fake? Always wondered how they make these commercials.
@@alejavy3000 it's real footage, GoPro send these Gopro9 to creators so that they can try it, featured videos will also get cash if I'm not mistaken xD
Looks very promising but my biggest concern is, do we still have to use that terrible outdated mic adapter? I'm not interested in the media mod, just want a simple way to use an external mic. Otherwise impressive specs!
they don’t fit with the current media mod for the 8, since the size of the 9 is bigger... for the mic quality, i really hope it’s better. That Hero8 MediaMod was the biggest disappointment for me aswell. Let’s wait if there is a new MediaMod 😬

Maybe the Hero 10 will have a bigger sensor and it will improve the image quality but until then it has been basically the same since Hero 7 with only more settings to choose from, still great little cameras

This is one of the ways that GoPro is trying to milk the customers. Insta 360 One R also doesn't have a microphone jack, but the adapter costs only $10, not $50 and is easily available. When I was making my vlogs with a GoPro, I always recorded audio with an external mic on my phone, then synced with the video in post.

Yo, I've been checking out on both Amazon and Best Buy lately. 4k 50 inch and 55 inch TV's have been coming down in prices in recent years! I remember when they used to be over $1,000 or more depending on the brand and quality of the TV and now prices for 4k 50 and 55 inch TV's is now about $200 - $400! It is just possible that it might even hit as low as in the $200's or less for holiday this year! This is a good time to save up and either wait for holiday Thanksgiving or Christmas! I recently walked at Walmart the other day and there 55 inch TV's were in-stock and they were going for less than $300!
@@tiuflyfpv Hey, I may not be a professional or amateur video editor, but can you tell me why does post-editing make video better? So are you saying that I could just take the same clip that I recorded and edited it with a bit of color correction and whatnot and then export the final results? Or can you just simply open up your video editor and export it in 4k without any editing? If that makes any sense to you.
Love my New Gopro 9! Made the jump from Gopro 7. The stabilization is incredible. My favorite aspect is the night modes and exposure settings for light type shots.
U can always use the front LCD screen as a status screen just like with previous gopros ! I tested the batteries and hero 9 lasted longer on all the setti gs
Being a sailor and diver I love my Hero7 Black! My videos look very professional only because of my great camera! I'm so impressed with what GoPro is doing and always look forward to seeing what new things they add to their cameras! After watching this, I know now I want the 9!
@@GrenlandUnderVann that is absolutely not true, many people wanted the session and still want the session, i have 3x session 5s and 1 session 4, only reason i need new cameras is that the batteries have started getting weak
@@rileygray195 I got the seven it is good so far don't have the GoPro app yet but for some reason the quality is really grainy must be because its being fitted onto a small screen or it needs to be adjusted but it is really great and works good

i hate people who keep saying that you dont even know if theres an editor the whole point is for it to be the gopro recording all of that maybe the people who say that are just to dumb to realize that
