Great video! Can you take invisible selfie stick videos with a "flat" appearance and not crazy fish eye? I know insta360 does. Also when you pause a frame in your edut can you change the framing with key frames during that same pause?
The only way to do it is to create separate clips of the bits you do want and then create a story in the story editor and import those clips in and join them together that way. You can’t delete stuff in the middle as such. Thanks for subbing

You can’t edit in camera you need to use the app. Normal video can be brought into the story editor where you can add transitions and titles etc. You should be able to trim it here as well.
Thank you for a great tutorial. Just one comment, the music volume is much higher than your volume so every time music start I have to lower the volume then increase it when you start commentary.
how can you do freeze frame in 2023? the app doesnt have the freeze frame symbol anymore. and with insta360 one can do a time freeze effect where you can stop the video to an image and then do a camera pan within the image and then continue the film. anyone know how this effect is called (except time freeze) and how to do it with any program??
Hey, thanks for all the great videos. Question; When I press on the scissor icon, I'm taken to the next screen and the icons are there, but other than that, the screen is black and I can't see the footage. Any ideas on how to fix that? Thanks!
I haven’t experienced this but there are several things you could try: 1) make sure the app is up to date 2) clear your cache in the settings 3) download the clip to the phone instead of working via Wi-Fi - sorry I can’t help any more - maybe post this on the GoPro facebook group if you’re still getting the error
Since few months ago the quick app won't open my 360 videos :( is it just me or everyone else? I download a 360 video to the app and I can't view, edit or download it to my phone, it keeps loading forever...any tips, help or advice? It's really frustrating...thanks.....btw nice video!
Hi is there option without dowloading the clip to phone since your sample were short videos of less than 2 minutes each.. how long will it take to download a 30minutes clip to our mobile and can i just select from that 30minutes the footage that i wanted before i download it to my mobile. Cant imagine the file size and the time taken to do quick editing if i have to download full file everytime
I think you have to download the full file and yes it will take a while and will be huge. If you have no room on your phone the transfer will fail but not tell you why but low memory is mainly the reason. The best way is to keep clips shorter but I know this isn’t always possible.
The GoPro 360 files are quite big so it could be that you haven’t got enough memory to edit them - I would test with a 10 sec clip and make sure you have plenty of free memory
I hope someone can help me with my GoPro Max. How do I keep the photo or video 360 once I upload to Facebook or text message? For instance in the GoPro app media section I can move my phone all around and up and down and I can see everything and once I download it to my camera roll I can not do that. I want to be able to text or upload it to Facebook and have people move the photo around and see everything. Also I uploaded a video on my RU-vid page and the quality is poor. I see all these amazing clear crisp videos and mine is crap 😩 what is the best setting in 360 video mode for you tube. I only have the app to work in and do not have a computer.
Facebook is the best place to share 360 with friends because it supports 360 photos - upload directly from the app by sharing to Facebook as the photo needs to retain all the 360 metadata and if you download it to your phone it may lose this. You can’t text a 360 photo you’ll have to text a link to the Facebook post.
Great video, thank you. If you share the native video to RU-vid after its downloaded but before edited will the viewer be able to scroll around whilst watching it on you tube? Have just got my gopro max and want to upload videos that the viewer can control where they look. Hope you have time to respond. Cheers
Alchemy2665 great question - I haven’t tried it myself but I think yes what you said is correct for both RU-vid and Facebook. Not every platform supports native 360 but these two do. You can also use the Vresh app but it’s not available in every country. I think when you upload to RU-vid it takes a few minutes to process it as a 360 video so at first I think it just looks equirectangular . You can do a test and keep the video unlisted or private to make sure it works. You can still take it into the app and trim it and then export as a 360 video. I’ve heard people talk about sometimes having to re inject the metadata to make it work as a native 360 but as I say I haven’t tried. It’s on my list to experiment with. Let me know how you get on. Sean Ozz I have been told since that 16:9 is available when you simply rotate your phone to 16:9. It makes sense but isn’t obvious as we all use our phone vertically. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks so much for the awesome vid, so clear and without unnecessary clutter. I have an issue.. Is it normal for the rendering of a 4-5 min clip to take 20-25 min?? Im using iPhone X. What could be the issue? Not sure this a normal.
Thanks for the comment- it doesn’t sound right but the GoPro files are big and others have experienced similar - I’m considering the iPhone 12 Judy because the processor is meant to be so much faster
It’s worth looking at the processor speed first - the 12 is a massive leap but I’m not sure how much faster the 13 will be compared to the 12 - you can get a 12 pro max for around £600-£700
I am brand new to this vid stuff, I want to start videoing motorcycle vid's. Can the Max pair with a motorcycle headset via IPhone so as to be make commits with the camera out and away at 60+ mph???
Dunno if you see this comment, but i wanted to ask if its possible to open all my max 360 vids in ipad mini? I wanted to edit it on a pc using max’s editor dunno if ipad mini can handle it
I have iOS so I’m not sure about android - a lot of android users have problems with these apps and Android is generally not supported as well unfortunately.
Is anyone else not able to slide on the "action bar" anymore and have it real-time play? Meaning whenever I swipe on my Max footage on the quik app, wherever, in keyframe editing or even viewing, the image is frozen until I stop scrolling in which it loads the resulting frame from the video. Like at 6:04 I cannot slide like that, it only pauses and plays when I am done sliding, not representing a real transition.
It honestly makes editing and viewing really frustrating, and this is on all my footage. Samsung Note 20 Ultra. Maybe that sliding feature is IOS only?
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help. When I render the video after editing it only saves in 720p even though I recorded everything in 3K... anyone know why this happens? And how it can be fixed... what am I doing wrong?
You’re not doing anything wrong. The 3k is shared with the entire 360 degree image so when you reframe it is the resolution in one fixed direction. For 3k that would be around 720 and for 5.6k you could export at 1080. Hope this helps

So you never actually get the full 3k or 5.4k when using 360 mode after editing and choosing the frame?🤔 So all these videos you see by gopro max users are only showing a 1080p resolution? Crazy I didn't know this before purchasing. I'm assuming this is the same for the desktop editing?
Poorly written app on iOS (iPadOS). After each tool or tab change, the screen jumps back from landscape to portrait mode. Then you have to rotate the iPad and turn back to get back to landscape mode. And missing the ability to add extra music (can be done with Quik but at the cost of image quality). Otherwise great and simple app.

It was a new thing they introduced with the hero 9 - I’ll be making some comparison videos over the next couple of months and I’ll mention it in there for sure

Is it a good camera to use to do virtual tours in softwares like Google virtual tour por theasys? Is for real estate businesses I have a regular windows laptop and want to use Google tour creator, is it compatible with gopro max?
Emiliano thanks for your comment. It is possible but there’s no raw or hdr so you’ll have less control over your photos. You need to have maximum control with virtual tours as the lighting can be very uneven. The one x is probably a better choice but ideally if you have the money then the Theta Z1.
@@EatSleep360 can i have a conversation with you somehow? I rally have a lot of questions. In my country the gopro max is only 100 dollars More than the Xiaomi sphere. I use google tour creator because is free but i dont know of it is compatible and i can upload photos with the gopro max. Theta cameras are not available. I CANNOT USE TRAILBLAZER

When you save a picture from a 360 video. Will it fit Instagram and also Instagram stories.? I've saved one picture tried to post to Instagram stories and the picture doesnt fit well comes out disorganized on Instagram. Please help thank you
808 Kamakazi when you open up a photo you can select the size of the photo in the top right hand corner (in iOS not sure about android). Ideally you’d save it twice so 1:1 for your Instagram posts and then 9:16 for Instagram stories
@@EatSleep360 i have the gopro remote controller as i use it normally for my gopro 10, even though I put the camera for 360 recording and use the remote to start and stop it just record in normal 😨 do u know why?🙏
