Awaiting my Rice on Suede album here in NZ. Been a Goratory fan for nearly 10 years now. There seems to be a lot of generic death metal music around now. I love the organics and intensity of Goratory, always have. Keep it up Darren, would love to hear more.

Well what Darren and Goratory do is make up midi sequenced click tracks for each song with all the appropriate tempo/time changes, then they all record to that with whatever other instruments have already been recorded. I'm guessing Darren was listening to a click mixed with a prerecorded guitar track (beit the scratch or final take). Basically every take will be in time with eachother which keeps things nice and tidy. Great way of recording, i've done it myself and i swear by it.

its not a trick, nor cheap. Its a type of blast beat, playing it by itself is easy, but keep it constant and clean while playing other shit is damn hard.

I think Goratory's drummer is amazing. I've also been playing three years. And the drummers you've mentioned are great... however, what about Weckl, Mangini and the best ever, Buddy Rich? Nevertheless, they are irrelevant when it comes to death metal. Do you like death metal? If not, you probably shouldn't judge this individual/band in the first place.
