Arkham knight is good because its nostalgic..but when you play it.. get in the batmobile to do this and that. While Gotham knights tried to do something new.
The game isn’t even that bad , just bought it 50% off. Not even that big of a DC fan either. The Arkham games are awesome and Gotham Knights isn’t even bad
I legit got GK from sharing with my friends account (I wasn't gonna pay a dime for this game). Literally the next day I downloaded Arkham Knight from the PS Store and have been playing that more. Still looks visually stunning and their Gotham City actually feels alive and lived in.
@@MKBENTOT yeah that's the crazy thing, not sure if the comment was meant to be bait but arkham knights graphics are genuinely next level. they hold up to a ton of games today.
I actually really like Gotham knights abilities and outfits but it could use a gliding system and in terms of creative and brutal realistic take downs Arkham knight and city win there and the Arkham games have WAYYYYYYYYY better ai and stealth mechanics cause the criminals actually react and talk
I own both 🎮 and like em both! I have seen AI in GOTHAM KNIGHTS react to things instantly...on the same level as ARKHAM KNIGHT. For example, if there are multiple criminals I shoot darts just in front or just behind them...then off in-between the next criminal a few feet away from him in the other direction. This gets them searching in two different places of the map, splits em up so I perform either silent take downs or ambush take downs.
I swear that Gotham Knights looks like Spider-Man PS4. The grappel boost looks more like a web-zip. The stealth maps even look like the warehouses and construction levels in that game.
Honestly I don't even think so. Spiderman seemed to be waaay better than this. At least Spiderman game made New York city feel alive and lived in. GK's city is an empty pathetic cardboard boxed environment with no life. If this is the type of content WB Montreal is putting out, David Zaslav needs to axe them and just shift all funds to WB Rocksteady division instead. Someone in the comments said it best, GK feels like WB Montreal meant for it to be a mobile game, and last minute just decided to put it on console.
I get it’s a video game, but Arkham Knights manages to be both video game and a bit of athleticism semi real (semi as moving super fast towards the enemy, so it’s not too realistic but you can see them in action). Whereas Gotham dude be beaming like the crew in Star Trek got his back. The more I look into this, the more it looks like it was originally meant to be a mobile game before shifting to consoles and PC.
Arkham has that "boooosh" that just makes takedowns so much more satisfying, small touch but makes a world of difference. Gotham is like a bunch of teenagers flying around passing gas in the air, and that's it.
@@R67K I’m saying purely from a graphical standpoint, compared to other games released today Gotham Knights still has very good lighting. Not everything needs to be a cockfight between the two games, it’s okay to recognize that the game everyone is conditioned to hate actually has a few things going for it.
@@Holdthetomatoesplz I didn't hate AK as it was released because I saw potential. But with this I decided for myself that it's not worth the effort to play this game. It's boring. The lineup and the technical issues it has, shows me that WB didn't learn from their mistakes. Have fun with it. I rather try the story mode plus on my batman games that were fun to me. No cockfight just a personal decision. I want to fight with Gadgets not with a stick. It's repetitive and boring.
Fans: Arkham AI is so much better than Gotham Knights. The AI reacts to the character. Video: 3:45 mark heavy gunner walking in place against a plantor as his friend gets taken out on the stairs lol

@@TheRealJshawn12th2005 played them all fully, and playing through gotham knights too, all of them were a hell of a lot of fun including gotham knights. though it's world does feel a little lifeless and the optimization is horrible. those are the only things I can really complain about since Gotham Knights isn't an arkham game and it's doing it's own thing. I guess I don't like the art direction much either but that's really just nitpicking, it's subjective but I would've liked a darker, more gritty gotham.

This reminds me on a Batman quote from the Superman/Batman comics. He said something like "I keep my expectations low, so in the end, I‘m not disappointed." Same here with Gotham Knights
Arkham aesthetic and overall look and atmosphere of the game is so freaking cool way better than knights,love how dark and cold it feels the dark aesthetic with the warm colors of the street lights makes it so good. I can’t wait to get the whole series on switch with dlc included is gonna be awesome being able to play it on the go

I like both. Yes, the Arkham Games are better than Gotham Knights for me too.... But I don't think Gotham Knights is bad! I really had a lot of fun with the game and also found the story really exciting
Exactly, and people talk about the stealth being a problem…like the Arkham games had game breaking stealth mechanics. You just had more versatility and places to go in the “stealth” areas in Arkham.
These are the only things in Gotham Knights that I think are decent If not out right good. 1. The costumes are very neat, I don’t like them all but I do appreciate that most of them are pretty original. I hate the shader nonsense and the whole gear and transmog system is backwards AF but I do like how hairstyles change and they look really good. 2. The combat is genuinely fun, and it’s satisfying to wack people. However the enemies suck and are inconsistent. Sometimes you’ll wipe the floor with everyone in 1 or 2 hits, other times you’ll be wearing them down like a jawbreaker and that sucks. 3. Animations in stealth, and combat are really well done, and so are facial animations outside of cutscenes. 4. I don’t think they’re amazing but I do like that villians are given proper boss fights, which wasn’t always the case in the Arkham series. Unfortunately there are no villians outside of Harley, Clayface, Talia, and Freeze, so way to waste a world full of opportunity WB. Honestly that’s all I got, 4 things in the entire game are decent. I’ve spent the last 3 minutes racking my brain to think of something else that I enjoyed but I got zilch. I replayed this game a couple months ago to see if I enjoyed it anymore than I did at launch, and I stopped halfway through. I’m a diehard Batman fan, and his allies are amazing, so everything about this game should have been a win for someone like me. It was my most anticipated game over God of War, and Spider-Man 2, I was defending the game before launch up until I beat the game and realized it really did suck. The writing at its best is okay and for the rest of the time which is about 80% or the story it’s all the worst parts of the CW shows. They take dumb liberties with the characters at times and outright pander to people who care more about activism than they do these characters or the world they inhabit. The gameplay loop is incredibly boring and repetitive and there’s little to no incentive to go through it. They wasted the heroes and villians, and the game feels like there should have been another half to the story with more villians and content in general, but they spoiled virtually everything in the trailers. This game is disappointing at best and insulting at worst.
In Arkham knight they didn't go too far with the gadgets and stuff and while a good amount of them were unrealistic an attempt was made to make it seem more grounded In reality but this game is just insane with the gadgets making bikes appear out of thin air and teleporting Robin all over the place it just takes away from the experience of being able to like put yourself in his shoes its just absurd and outright ridiculous sometimes and looks really goofy
To anyone that thinks gotham knights is an improvement play arkham knight for 30 min and try gotham knights right after. Not a single change they made makes the game better it's ridiculous
I prefer Gotham knights robin I like playing as younger robin not a 20 year old robin it’s weird and 90% of robins can’t glide so I prefer Gotham knights robin more
I like Gotham kighta for it's own things but the stealth system wasn't one of them. I just hate the fact that there's only one type of sneaking takedown and they got rid of environmental takedowns it just makes stealth a little dumb down and very repetitive. Agreed that the stealth is eh… and also the fact that when you shoot/throw batarangs or bullets, the enemies automatically know your location is stupid, but for the environment, i think when things like the fuse boxes are glowing purple, you can grab the enemies and throw them into em’ and that’s suppose to count as an environmental takedown
@@haikyuu4._.u21 I could see that. I completely left them alone I saw them glowing from far and never messed with them. I just feel like they dropped the ball in that aspect.
@@liljdub08 yes. For a good reason. I simply don't like it's look, it's animations, the story and the whole uncreative lineup... I spend 500 hours on batman games. This one I won't touch. It's too immature and klunky. And the teleport is very badly implemented. Why would I teleport myself for 5 meters. Doesn't make sense to me and also does not look like fun from this perspective.
Honestly, the shouldve just remastered the Arkham series for ps5 instead of making Gotham Knights. The games mechanics on the Arkham games is waaaaaaayyyyyy better than Gotham Knights.
I like Arkham Series more simple and fast gameplay than Gotham Knights slow and with more bells and whistles. Sure, Gotham Knights gameplay looks cool but Arkham series are more effective and does not slow you down. Also, Arkham games looks better. Just look at the character models. They are almost perfect. Unlike Gotham Knights, where characters looks like, someone modded them, and put the skin over existing model that doesn't fit it's skeleton. You know, like those mods for GTA where you put, let's say Hulk skin, for example, over CJ or Trevor, and he looks like stooped, simply because the skin doesn't match the skeleton of the existing character. The same in Gotham Knights.
You're seriously talking about character models when the MAIN character of the game in Arkham was enlarged on his right side for 3 straight games? Batmans whole right side of his body is 5x bigger than his left side, especially his arms.
Am I the only one who finds Bruce's characters model in Arkham Knight absolutely hideous? I like the suit, but his face looks so weird and kinda ugly. I prefer his look in Arkham City and Origins.
@@lordofthesithvader9430 Well, for me, he looks the same in all 4 games. Which is Asylum, City, Origins and Knight. Sure, in knight he looks more older, but still, it is kinda the same model, if you ask me.
