Watch as Igor Shesterkin launches a saucer pass that lands on Mika Zibanejad's tape to set up Chris Kreider's goal that puts the Rangers ahead in Game 6.
Shesterkin is revealing the heart of a champion.. i dont know how the series ends but this guy is mentally tough to be able to put the bad 3 out of the first 4 games behind and give his team a chance to compete on home ice in Game 7. His heads up play at a critical time and precision pass will be remembered for a long time to come.
even the games in pitt were bad defense and bad defensive coverages almost every play. leaving someone open in front to get their own rebounds or just leaving them all alone in front of igor. igor's been stellar all playoffs and he's truly the reason the rangers are in the ECF.
The hockey world will be talking about this pass for a long time to come, i can't believe how accurate and successful that this long pass was, by Igor Shesterkin that reached its target. That being the blade of Zibanejad's stick that gave him a chance to score a goal on The Penguins goalie but was denied on his chance but Chris Kreider was at the right place at the right time, following closely by Mika to collect the rebound and put it behind The Penguins goalie for a point. Now, this is what you call a team effort.
@@slkxnyr5723 I can have my opinion and say what I think, Okay just like you can. Even if I don't like what you have to say, I just choose not to say anything sometimes because I don't want to cause problems. Sometimes it's better to not say anything. And if you don't like it, well to bad. Don't let it bother you. It's called freedom of speech. Did you ever hear about it?
“Igor is simply an outstanding goalkeeper in terms of stick handling and puck play. He has an amazing command of this element of the game. Which he demonstrated with the help of this luxurious pass, when with his front he sent the puck exactly into the stick of his partner“
Great pass by SERSTERKIN Right on the Tape this kid is unbelievable, he at times may not look good in this series but I'll tell you what I'll take him on my team anytime, veznia trophy winner for 2021 2022 is Igor SERSTERKIN LET'S GO RANGERS LET'S WIN ON SUNDAY.
I was watching this game and I couldn't even get excited about the kreider goal cause of how amazed I was from that saucer pass by Igor that was just amazing to see
I think the great thing is not only this pass by Shesterkin which is great... do not great me wrong. But his puck handling is always great. I think the thing I enjoy is Panarin knowing the pass is not to him. If he interrupts the play.... then it might not have went the way it did. Something simple as getting out of the way of the pass.
I hate my phone I was the backup goalie wearing my forward skates Took a shot in the skate in the first period and it broke my skate so I played the game with a broken skate and I played on the fourth line on that team and that game I had two assist as a goalie I didn't have any other points the rest of the year
If you ever want to see Pens fans eat their words, just rewatch the last 3 games of the series, especially Game 6. Never have I seen a crowd more stunned and choked than this fanbase in this hear
I feel like I have seen this kind of play more times than I can count where a goalie springs a forward and sometimes at even strength through pressure and multiple defenders where as this is straight to a wide open guy, very impressive accuracy and speed but reading the comments I was expecting to see something I have never seen before, am I missing something? or are all the commenters just Ranger fans?
I’m watching this game as a bruins fan just to see who we will play next round if we win. As an outside observer I can say this is equally bad officiating for both sides.
Man, you ranger fans need to pump the breaks a bit lol, kid might be something or he might not be, give him a couple seasons to prove what he's about before u start with this garbage, think of how many flash in the pan goalies there have been that were far better than shitsterkin that ended up doing nothing.
