Gouache swatching! Making cotton watercolour paper swatch cards 

It's swatching day! Thank you to those who voted for this topic :) It ended up turning into a long casual art session haha. Grab your favourite art supplies and let's hang out for some art time! With my watercolour paints I like to make swatch cards. This lets me compare the characteristics of different pigments, and also let's me keep track of the colours that I have already. Yet for some reason I've never made swatch cards for my gouache paint collection, and that's about to change! I made one adjustment to the cards for these, which you will see towards the end. I'm using the same cotton watercolour paper I usually use for both the swatch cards and for paintings. That way I have a fair comparison, and get a record of what they look like on "proper" paper. That being said, gouache works beautifully on non-cotton watercolour papers so I'm not always tempted to grab the cotton sheets or blocks out when practicing.
