A few people recently asked for me to talk about how I self study art. I decided to break that subject down into smaller sections, to make it easier to talk about and hopefully easier to listen to! Today I'm looking specifically at videos, and how I approach them as an educational source.
In this video I'll be taking you through my studying process by showing you actual studies for a course I have been learning from recently. My studying process is broken down into two sections: comprehension and application. Each has two stages. I'll talk you through each stage step by step with examples in my sketchbook so you can see how I study in action.
Everyone has different needs and preferences when it comes to learning. I'm sharing one method that works for me, but I encourage you to figure out what does and doesn't work for you.
