GQ (band) in concert features vocalist/rhythm guitarist Emanuel Rahiem Leblanc (aka Mr Q), the last remaining original member. Disco/R&B group performs Billy Stewart slow dance remakes I Do Love You and Sitting In The Park (5:39). GQ's biggest hit Disco Nights (Rock-Freak) (7:17) follows live at 94.7 The WAVE’s Love Affair, Honda Center, Anaheim, CA on February 11, 2017.
Disco Nights (Rock-Freak) reached #1 for GQ (Good Quality) on the US R&B and #3 on US Dance charts in 1979.
Soul love songs concert performers were The Delfonics, Atlantic Starr, Heatwave, GQ, The Moments, Color Me Badd, The Fuzz, The Impressions, Barbara Lynn and Patti Drew.

I watched them live in Birmingham Al. In the 80s and I believe it was only 4 of them and they were kick as jamming. He hasn't lost it. Love the mix. They all sang and played instruments. Didn't miss a beat.

The reason you don’t see any black people in his band, is because we [blacks] gave up on playing instruments for rapp. Now we’re stuck watching a bunch of white people trying to play R&B music. You can count on 1 hand the number of black [so-called] artists who know how to play a musical instrument. The quality of black music has literally went to hell in a hand-basket!

You're statement is so true! You might have one or two members that remain and naturally they can't perform all the instruments needed to pull the show off and now with the computerization of instruments, it takes away the flavor of the individual instrument.

Where’s the BASS ???! I see the bass guitarist but doesn’t look like he’s doing much in playing 😂😂😂 probably doesn’t have that rhythm 😂😂😂. I feel the bass carried this song , a favourite of mine back in the day & still! Song still good however because of course, GQ❤❤❤

Yes Ms. Sabrina I totally agree with you. He is doing his thang for sure!!! My mom and dad use to play ball with Billy Stewart back in the early 60's in Washington DC, back when it was still the Chocolate City. My Aunt Dot use to hop on stage and sing with up on 14th st. NW. I bet she was drunk. I love and appreciation all those beautiful and talented artists who came first. Peace to GQ. They did Mr. Stewart justice.

I see a lot of comments on here about him being out of shape and he has aged. This true performance and not DJ in the back spinning beats. Today performers are lazy..hype man and dancers. Standing in a room recording and then in live performances.. Sound like shit...he's actually performing.. Know the difference

@@picachicaasmr260 Actually, according to Wikipedia, only Keith "Sabu" Crier, the uncle of Keith Sweat and the son of Arthur Crier of the doo-wop group the Halos, died. He passed away in the Bronx, New York on September 29, 2013, at age 58. Drummer Paul Service fractured his wrist in a car accident in 1980. On the cover of the third and final album by the group, Face to Face, he was noticeably absent. The band ultimately replaced him with drummer Steve "Beatz" Adorno, who performed with GQ from 1980 to 2010. Steve Adorno has since become the drummer and bandleader of Fania recording artist Seguida, and SMI recording artist Devoshun. He is also a composer/producer with his own music label Onroda MusicWorks. He has composed music scores for two Off-Broadway plays, music scores for Nintendo video games, and two independent films. Percussionist Kevin Zambrana has since become a trusted associate to Mr-Q as President of ZPI Productions NYC.

I LOVE watching artists perform live. He almost seems nervous to begin with but once he gets into it, this is awesome. I remember slow dancing with my first boyfriend to I Do Love You at my sister's wedding in 1980. All I have to do is close my eyes, and listening to this takes me right back there. Was very fortunate to see and hear GQ a few years ago at the SUPER LOVE JAM in San Antonio. This guy's guitar playing was mesmerizing. A rare talent. 8 other throw back musical artist took us memory lane.

Oh my. Glad to see Q. There are certain singing voices that you will never forget in your lifetime and he has one of them. I Remember when these guys hit the scene with 2 of Billy Stewart's signature songs and how well they were covered. I would melt when I would hear his voice and the voice of Johnny Wilder Jr of "Heatwave." What happened to GQ ? Lost touch of them after these 3 popular songs(Incd Disco nights).
