When westerns rookies are moaning about the 3.0L 6-cyl not having enough power (380hp) while these Japanese pro drivers are having fun with just 300hp 2.0L 4-cyl version
Always a pleasure to see DK and Max driving in Tsukuba. Congratulations for the 2 companies still pushing for the best in tuning when in these days every one looks for CO2 emissions.
What I love about DK is hes not all about max power its all about balance and feel. All you ever hear from Americans is its not enough power. its to slow. It's all about the right roads. America is to straight. Keep to your over power land yachts.
That's the thing about the Japanese. Balance is everything. Feeding is important too. You don't just throw mods to a car to make it fast. If it feels shit, then the car is shit no matter how much the power.
Awesome! Great comparo between both versions of the Toyota GR Supra. in mild tuning state. Classic Best motoring! ** Thank u soooo much for the English Subtitles** 😁👍
B58 engines are just too good, they’re like Coyote or LS1 of the German engine so it’s gonna be very popular for future tuners. People are raving about RB and 2JZ but those parts are too expansive and hard to find and not really cost effective.
Hmm the power numbers shown are much lower than the ones given in the press release, at least in the USA. Is there a difference in power between the two markets or is it because of the dynos they used giving different numbers? The 2 liter version is still not out in the USA for us to know the exact power it makes. Great video regardless!
Interesting to see how DK agrees that the rear steps out too uncontrolled, just like Robert Mitchell, while others like Jackie Ding say that that is not at all an issue they've experienced.
Jackie Ding crashed his 1st Supra due to instability out of a turn. Which after watching his very first shakedown on track with that Supra, he had a similar issue but caught it faster.
@@MaddNomad1015 I've always remembered watching that vid and seeing him put 2 tires on the grass & just understeered into the tire barrier. Guess I'll rewatch it to refresh my memory.
@@izzdin6228 he does catch the side which puts him into the wall, but before he was out of the turn he was fighting the rear last second on exit before his tires went off track, understeering into the barrier. If that makes sense. In his first shakedown with that Supra he had a similar right turn he took where it got unstable and he almost hit the concrete barrier, but he had a little more room so he corrected or he was quicker to correct. I love his videos because you can see him progress with the car, I just think it’s a result of the car’s short wheelbase.
@@MaddNomad1015 yeah short wheelbase cars are quite spiky or so I've read. Like the older gen F1 cars that look like a handful from tv due to their shorter wheelbase compared to the current longboi cars.
In my opinion.. I think BMW did this rear Bumpsteer issue on purpose on the GR Supra so it wont out perform their BMW Motorsport cars on track. This Rear - Bumpsteer can be fix. The BMW Supra. ( I mean.. Toyota Supra 😜!) showing lots of potential Gentlemen.
these Japanese pro race driver proved that those so-called "western car enthusiast" are so wrong. these guys can rock on even with 2 litres 4 cylinders while those westerners can't
IIRC, that’s what this channel does. At least all the new production stuff is member exclusive before going public. I don’t know about the archive stuff.
So expensive here! and really only driveable for limited months in the summer reasonably. But they'll come down as they get older, much less expensive in the USA, heck I think a Mustang V8 is 30k there, let alone the base turbo models for 20k. Wow does that trans shift fast!
Like fr, that's one of the cringiest thing you could hear in car community. People who said that usually just a guy who drives a camry with eat sleep jdm sticker on it and of course also the 12 yo initial d fanatic kids.
@@rfldisprzl I understand their disappointment, but if without BMW, Supra is still a dream until now. Or else Toyota will be Mitsubishi, all SUV cars after Evo X.
@@theraiden9631 yep, totally agree with that!! Honestly, IDC if it's not the same as it was used to be before as long as you could have fun with it regardless of their maintenance then I'm good with it, anyways, power isn't always the factor here, it's the drivability of the vehicle and how you find yourself being connected with the vehicle.
Hey would a 2008 Lexus IS F be a bad mountain car? Or should I just pick up a s2000 and throw a few more dollars at it in parts and call it a day. Or a 350-370z maybe just a six speed IS 250. I want all the cars. I got a real problem
ISF is a beast but don't think it's agile enough for the mountains plus the earlier models have peaky handling they did a hot version with a stock ISF. S2000 modded is the maou ofc but if you need luxury comfy while also sporty the ISF or IS250/350 are your best choice
you know i went this same concept with my vitz but i bought the 3 door top of the line grade because i wanted the power windows and locks which were less prone to breaking because it was a luxury edition :P
Wait so your telling me the Rev RZ is 500 lbs heavier than the Rev SZ????. What is the big difference, i thought they said earlier the SZ was only 100kg lighter?
