Me too. I struggle to figure out when to short shift and not and in what circumstances (other than fuel saving). Even looking at the torque diagrams I feel doesn't do the trick.

Couldn’t agree more. My biggest down fall and inconsistency is downshifting in the braking zone. I’m always changing how I do it after watching someone a bit faster. So one lap I’ll rapid fire my downshifts and others I’ll brake first then almost wait to downshift as get near my turn in.

You can adjust pedal sensitivity in the GT7 settings. Huge game changer.

@@Spear_Bros I ended up doing the eraser trick for my brake pedal and it has made a world of difference. If you haven't heard of the eraser thing, do a quick search for it. It's a brilliantly cheap upgrade and it amazed me how well it works.

ABS is default

I turned it off. It essentially prevents your wheels from locking up due to over breaking. It does this by automatically releasing break tension, thus preventing lock up but also increasing your breaking distance. Try A-1 and A-2 license center lessons with abs and without. You should see that you can come to a complete stop significantly quicker with abs off. That being said, if you don't have much of a control over brake bias or threshold braking, then you are going to over brake a lot. But if you turn it off and get good/consistent at controlling your brakes, you can shave so much time off your laptime. Driving without abs in a sim is hard tho because you really do use your sense of g-force to determine how to break appropriately in real life. So learning to drive without abs in gt7 was brutal for me, but now that I got it down I'm faster than most of the demo times 😅 Tldr; If you want to have a fun, easy to pick up, casual racing game experience; leave abs on (I suggest on weak, if it's too strong your breaking distance might become very long) If you want to practice real racing mechanics or are just looking for a more competitive way to drive faster, learn to drive with it off

I also have the G29. Did you know that the pedals are removable and adjustable? All you need is an Allen wrench to remove the 2 Allen Head screws on each of the pedals. When you remove them you will see 3 places where the pedal can be seated. So you can move them a notch to the left or a notch to the right. From the factory they are in the center position. Also I believe I saw it on eBay or Amazon there is a big pedal that connects the brake and clutch pedal together as one and as long as you use automatic transmission in your cars. It gives you more room for your braking foot and at the same time gives a more realistic braking feel because it is using the springs from both the brake and the clutch. 😉👍

I feel it too when race in GT Cup Gr.3. When I brake hard, the car is spin out. What is the cause?

maybe you are not braking in a straight line, even a smal weight transfer can cause you to slide or even to spin out
