As someone who plays single player and is not used to playing against real drivers, this update actually looks great - the AI drivers are definitely driving much more realistically. At this point, I'm not very good, so I'm not as concerned about their difficulty, but if they drive more like real drivers it will make my races a lot more fun. Thanks for sharing the footage, I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
I am in the same boat. I suffer from some pretty terrible anxiety, so screwing up online leads to me feeling awful...and it's a video game, I'd rather have fun. Sophy AI is very exciting!
@@earthlingtheaaron21 It's more about having a lot of interruptions at home and potentially having to quit mid-way through races to deal with life than with anything else. I actually just got PS+ for the first time a couple months ago, so I'm sure I'll try online at some point soon.
Nah. Sophy is just not that good. Starting 12 and finishing first in 3 laps… that happens even with hard tires. Sophy is not as good as it was when they tested the feature the first time
You still have to go with a FULLY stocked car because GT7 is selecting the AI based on that. It’s scaled back from original reveal but still loads of fun as long as you’re not overpowered.
You took a racing car, with insanely more grip then AI. Also you tried to cut it off, and evaded being cut off by sending you in the wall. In the end you still didn't win. In this instance the issue was the selection of cars you faced. Not the AI
I hope that they eventually update it with spec tires and PP limitations. That's really the only way to make any AI single player experience competitive, even with Spohy. All I've been seeing about Sophy 2.0 is people crying about how easy it is when they've been throwing on racing soft tires on their car to demolish the competition.
“What’s happened here then?” You left a gap and then cut across Sophy’s nose…that was on you. Also Sophy is on sports tires so get rid of the slicks if you want a more competitive race.
This!! I was assuming the entire reason we didn’t have grid start/qualifying was because the poor AI forced PD to spread out the AI field in order to force certain timings. I’m kind of frustrated this hasn’t changed yet
Being a top driver you make it look smoother than the average driver in GT7. New technology will only improve overtime. Can't wait to try this next year on the PS5 Pro, as for now I will continue to practice on the PS4 Pro.
Don’t change the tyres and don’t use any tuning. Sophy can't adjust to you. The best option: GT3/GT4/GT2/LMP I try Sophy on SPA, the new, full stock Porsche (with PSVR2). It was insanely good!
I don’t think Sophy is on racing tires while driving road cars. So you’re making it much easier on yourself giving yourself a competitive advantage. Try beating her on sport tires, or race Gr.3 oh RH
is Sophy quite a bit "weaker" in the update than in the test version we had some months ago? I know youre a good driver, but youre making mincemeat of Sophy here quite easily, while beating Sophy on the higher level events some months ago was REAL challenging.
My problem with sophy is that it can occasionally encourage somewhat dirty driving if you happen to accidentally upset any of the other AI drivers. They tend to get aggressive with the other drivers and you as well if any collisions happen.
Dude forgot his other settings in the menu is set to one Chilli pepper easy for his grinding sessions. So when you pick the hardest settings for professional sofi is still held back in the main settings difficulty, some RU-vidrs never show that they are actually on the hardest setting 😂
Well, I'm quite excited to try this out when I get a PS5 this winter 💜 Also, I like the little emojis above the cars. Adds a bit of cute personality to the typically faceless AI we usually face in single player 😉
Obviously Sophy is on street tyres, why not make or fair & use street tires. U went for racing soft being a "top split driver"and u call too a review why not use gt3, gt2 and road cars with road tires. If all the sophy's were superhard ppl would complain. I wonder how much turn 10 is paying u to try & make the AI look subpar. U basically cheat & glitch the premise and call it a review with only 2race and 1scenario tested

The A.I. implementation is subpar. There are difficulty settings, if you go for Pro, you want a challange, not an A.I. that finds an extra 100hp when you pass it so it can rubber band. Performance ratings should scale to you, even tyres, you shouldn’t find ways to make it more difficult. This is Sophy beta testing and that’s it. Stop defending PD, they screwed up. Online is still the place to go for proper racing.
Why can you only do 3 laps max? This is one of the things I can’t stand about GT single player. Why can’t you do endurance races, why can’t you make a championship with your fav tracks in? It’s so limited and controlled
What happened to the aggressive Sophy AI we saw before that even e-sports drivers couldn't beat? We need some options to change speed and aggression because in the present form they look to behave not much different than the standard AI.

Its good to see PD finally adding some decent content for single players, this seems to reflect the AI in forza where its only really the top 5 or 6 that really provide opposition not saying that one is better than the other, its a mixed Bag some great content added lets hope PD continue in this vein
Forza's AI is shocking though, esp after all the talk. I've defended them in the past, but that coupled with them removing the option to increase career race length, I wouldn't again.
I think as they add more and more cars and tracks to Sophy they’ll tweak the difficulty of Sophy. You know if they made it super hard off the bat there would be ppl screaming bloody murder 🤣
Go to the weekly races, challenge, there are different difficulties, working your way up to expert. Then challenge Sophy 1v1.. you'll see where it's headed.... she's brutal. Only way to beat her is defensive driving, one gap and she's gonna take it. Felt real.
One thing I'm noticing is that the AI drivers seem to seaprate into groups of drivers as the race goes on - whereas before, you could get 5 laps into a race and they're still all racing in a conitnuous line, more or less. Seems way more representative of real-world race progression now!
A one make race with the better and best AI starting at the back, and the less difficult AI starting in front. Maybe give the AI a bit more aggressive tendencies. That would make for a good race
Idk how can people find GT feedback good: its the definition of a flat EKG. Forza's is not shiny, but at least after many tweaks you can find something decent to race on: I can feel inertia, weight displacement, road and kerbs etc.
You should try stock cars with the AI it changes alot. The only thing I wound change are tires up to SM with street cars. And the cars you race are updated to match that
Try full stock cars, do not change the tyres. Try gr cars with hard tyres. It's another game. For now, it seems sophy is set to fight around a D/S to low B/S player. A bit more difficulty would be appreciated. Honnestly it is already very impressiv. It feels organic. I love the way she reacts, defends or attacks, sometimes aggressif, make mistake. Hope to see sophy soon in some epic endurance race.
To be honest, I think they’re just figuring out the strengths and weaknesses of the system. I think the real AI version of Sophie show itself in the next game.
The Sophy in this update isn't as strong and competitive as in test I did races in gr.3 on hard tyres as they did and they just lack of speed even on hardest possible difficulty I just hope they adjust Sophy in future updates, they race better than standard AI but they are still too slow and not being able to make custom races with sophy is bad
coming from playing against real human drivers, sophy 2.0 feels a lot more human like to me, especially when you compare to that of forza motorsport, which is very aggressive and just side wipes you all the time. Sophy feels actually more skilled, they defend and they dont ram you like forza does.
Maybe they limited to weaker sophies so that lots of people can race against and collect enormous data from each race and further evolve sophie to be as realistic as possible? Like we've seen what sophy can actually do. We've seen nurburgring run. It kept taking the turns that almost nobody would dare and it shaved off lots of time. I'm pretty sure this is sophy beta testing and further training sophy how to drive with players... I can't wait for the time when they release sophy and it becomes realistic as if driving online.
what you said about not needing to adjust your wheel constantly while driving in GT7and how you prefer it over FM, is the exact thing I've come to hate in GT after playing AC for a while. It feels like I'm driving with some wheel assist. And I actually prefer it in FM for it over GT. I mean, look at any onboard camera from IRL race. Even like GT3 which are super stable. They are correcting the wheel all the time. In GT7/sport after not playing it for a while now, it feels like you're just changing lanes on a highway with some extreemes here and there. That's what bothered me in the cockpit view in GT7 as well while looking at the wheel.. it feels fake compared to IRL shots. IT took me a while to realize why those interior views feel so off.. If they dropped the car physics from FM into GT I'd be over the moon.
If you dropped the more arcade physics from FM? Why? Idc what you say, I do auto cross all the time and when it comes to console "sims" GT7 leans a lot farther towards a HC sim like iracing than FM23.
Totally agree. LFA is a front engined, rear wheel drive car and chucking it into a corner at 120 mph would result in at least some drama. Even in the slower bends, you can see the weight transfer but it’s like the car is on rails. FM dropped the ball when it comes to car customization/track list but the physics feel absolutely phenomenal. Also, GT7’s exterior camera is fucking atrocious🤢
Agreed. What everyone means when they say that the wheel feels better in GT is that it’s easy and makes them feel good about themselves. I like watching a lot of these content creators, but when they start complaining that a stock, front engine, all wheel drive car is understeering, I have to wonder if they’ve ever even driven a real car in a performance situation that wasn’t tuned to perfection ahead of time for them.
I think Sophy get a bit Nerfed for bring us a good and casual racing expérience I remerber the first one Sophy challenge whit one Sophy easy,médium suphy and a hard one racinge in the same race and you see how good and tactic was the hard one.
First - you are using op tires. Second - its a game that is meant to be kind of challenging for the average player. I think they are able to turn Sophy up until the worlds top10 drivers cant compete, so the difficulty is very much a decision from polyphony. I just wish they would lock the tire selection if sophy is not able to adapt to different tires used by the player.
I recently upgraded from ps4 to ps5 and i tried sophy for the first time yesterday and i beat it first time with ease. Im really disappointed because i heard sophy would be a challenge. ACC AI is tougher to beat. Also 3 laps races are crap.
The road car races on hard are too easy doesnt matter what car. Race cars should stikl be hard havent tried yet. Also they need to add ability to choose how many laps asap.
AI driver without cheat is great, their driving look like those online GT7 players, but more safe drive. Actually, the human racing gamer will develop to dangerous driving techniques for more faster. Fastest is not a good thing to train, Safety and faster and stay alive should be a driving fan to remember. Forza M AI will crash to your car when it is in bad mood NFS unbound AI is a cheater
Forza feels better through my DD2 for sure. Just need to find your settings. GT7 has nothing but a plethora of canned effects and turning the wheel just feels like stretching a rubberband instead of actual suspension compression. In which Forza feels better. Still no AMS2 or rF2. GT7 still the worst FFB of anything that's trying to be serious.
GT force feedback lightyears ahead of forza?, I found forza the best of them all when using a G29, I can feel barely anything in GT7 and absolutely no feel of when im losing grip like in forza. Im hoping my settings are wrong but theres only 3 settings and ive played with them all, If anyone has good G29 settings for GT7 pls let me know.

Huge rubber banding on the first lap in Austria. Then it balanced out. Doesn't look like very challenging AI. They change their racing line but still aren't really aware of any other cars.
The Sophy update is a fail. To easy on the prof level even. There shouldn’t be a need to adjust your car settings to make it difficult. The game should take of that
He's throwing racing tires on a street car lol. He's adjusting to make it easier. Also it's machine learning so it will adapt to you over the course of multiple races.
Kind of lost some respect for this channel from this video to be honest.... Anyone who goes straight to Race softs, probably can't drive....it's honestly a red flag that you're probably getting feedback from an amateur, right off the rip. You change it to RS tires and wonder why the AI is braking early on the 150 MPH SPA straight....really? They're on SH tires, you're on RS tires. I know you're just messing around, but the traffic management/driving with the AI in the ND was pretty poor driving, and another awful example of this new AI. You can't expect the AI to run you clean, if you drive like they're not even on the track. Sophy is driving stock cars... they're going to match you up against cars and tires based off the OEM spec of the car you select, with the tires that were on the car when you entered the race. If you car is heavily modified, it's going to be too easy. If you change the tires to something better after the game already loads...it's going to be easier. I did only 5-6 races total and figured this out right away. Kind of ridiculous to give a review on something you're honestly not even using correctly. "Will Sophy automatically adjust the competition after I load the game and go from SH, to RS tires?" That is answer is a hard no. Load a bone stock Nissan S15 Silvia, on whatever tires it comes with, run it at Road Atlanta hard mode, and tell me it's too easy. It might not even be possible to get first. I feel like you could really use some help on the GT7 side of this channel, or stick to the online crash-fests of FM7.
Sophy is Marketing bullshit. Sorry GT Fans but I have been playing this game before some of you were born in 1999. 23+ years later, Gran Gran Turismo AI Still ranks at the bottom of all sim racing games.
