Gran Turismo is no stranger to real-life racing cars. Ever since Gran Turismo 2, we've been able to drive cars seen at the likes of Le Mans, in Touring Car Championships, and in GT Series.
But for a few minutes, let's cast our minds back to the original Gran Turismo. With no large budget to license real cars, they ripped off real-life designs, changed them a little, and put them into the game.
Here are the real-life cars that inspired many of the special vehicles and racing modifications on the original Gran Turismo.
Thank you to Toyota SPRINTER TRUENO 1986 for creating the thumbnail image for the video, to CVPI93 for creating
the awesome remix of Gran Turismo music you can hear in the background, and to everyone who provided photos or
information about some of the cars in this video. So thank you to Sovalou, Little Spike Dragon, Raka Radityo,
Kevin Moondust, Bob Bobson, and F Mecha.
