This was a week before the relaunched ITV Friday night schedule built around The Practice and Dempsey And Makepeace which had launched on the 11th with double-length episodes of The Practice with a 1 hour episode at 7:30 and Dempsey and Makepeace at 8:30 with a 105 min episode and News At 10 was on that night at 10:15

I wonder if there was a trailer for Dempsey And Makepeace shown after the film with the announcer saying next Friday on ITV

Wow at 2:09 an advert from Ocean Software for Match Day! I never knew Ocean software had made TV adverts until now. I don't recall any from back in the 80's. Fascinating!
