Sad to see so many adverts for banks promoting loans like it's the easiest thing ever. Not to mention the canard of the "shareholder society". Saddled with a debt for years to come without ever realising the only winners in the Capitalist game are the wealthy and privileged.

Interesting advert for "The Sun" newspaper at 12:12 featuring Coronation Street star Peter Adamson (aka Len Fairclough) in support of Pat Phoenix (Elsie Tanner) in her battle with breast cancer.

All those ads and not one for any cars. I remember the push to get us all interested in American Football and around this time channel 4 started showing Sumo Wrestling.

10 out of 10 to Jim Pope for enthusiasm for the Bowls.

I wonder if incidents involving console operators increased during the Texaco campaign...obnoxious customers shouting in store, that sorta thing.

In the Castella advert, I know that's Derick Martin who played Charlie Slater in East enders, but I can't for the life of me remember who the mother is I know I know her and I'm sure it was Eastenders as well! Also, the son looks familiar?
