HI! I had reserved your videos from this week for Friday evening as I enjoy them very much. I follow your trips on google maps to understand what I'm watching. I think what you showed today in the last minutes of your video is my favorite so far, but not so sure I would be willing to drive 15-20 minutes each time I need to go to Costco or have a beer. I will join your Facebook group right now! Saludos desde Buenos Aires!

Oh, that's fantastic. I was wondering whether you would be joining the Facebook group. It's just getting going but I think it may help people. We have a member who seems very nice, from Chile moving here in the summer

Woops, posted the reply before it was finished. Anyway, I love that you follow on Google maps, I would do the same thing. And we have other viewers who save the videos for the end of their workweek, which I think is adorable. Having subscribers like you Andrew, is what makes this all worthwhile, so thank you!

There are so many beautiful areas in the city, near the water, that are not a 15 minutes drive from Costco or beer. You won't need to be out that far.

Appreciate your work... Watch all your videos... Moving to NB in September... To add it would be great if you can share average house price for the area.

Thank you very much. Please consider joining our Facebook group, I Love Saint John, NB. We set it up for people moving to the area and have posted recent articles about real estate and rent prices for Saint John. Current average house price is $220,000 but many properties above and below that price. Average house rental I think is around $1800/month but apartments are $700 and up for a basic place.

Ishant Khanna $1,000,000 for example give you opportunity to buy almost any house in NB. Not the case in Toronto or Vancouver $1,000,000 lots of homes you can't afford still. There's people that are on tv shows some of them live in Toronto. Apparently 28% of Canada millionaires live in Toronto

I recently moved to Grand Bay Westfield after living in west Saint John most of my life. I thought that your implication that the road trip there would be more interesting than the area itself did a major disservice to a great community. This place is more than just pretty views. It's too bad you couldn't' have experienced that.
@WeLoveSaintJohn
@WeLoveSaintJohn 3 года назад
A major disservice? Are you kidding me? First, nobody is paying us to make these videos. There is no ad revenue. There is no sponsorship from the Grand Bay Chamber of Commerce. Or you. We pay for our own gas and volunteer our time to make videos for people thinking about moving to the area, BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE DOES. If you are so concerned with extolling the virtues of your community, where are your videos? Second, we spoke glowingly about Grand Bay-Westfield. There was not one negative comment, there was not one implication of the drive being more interesting than the area itself. The drives are boring, that's why we talk about other things. Once we arrived in Grand Bay, we talked all about Grand Bay, and in a very positive light. Every communtiy is more than its views. If you figure out a way to portray that to outsiders in a short unedited video, and keep their attention, then fill your boots. This video, at present, has 655 views, which means 655 people have been exposed to your beautiful community, that otherwise would have seen nothing. You're welcome!

Good Morning from Ontario! Sunny today. Looking forward to moving to New Brunswick. Sent request to join your FB site and thereby meeting more people who are thinking of taking the plunge as well. Your RU-vid videos are helping to narrow down an area. Looking for an apartment. Do you have any videos on pricing and best locations?

If you are looking to buy then you can call us as we are both realtors. If you are looking to rent try Kijiji Saint John or just google apartment rentals Saint John. We have 180 videos posted that cover pretty much every area of the city and surrounding areas.

Hello! My husband and I are moving to the surrounding area of Saint John and your Facebook page sounds fantastic, as you are totally right, it can be hard to meet people and make friends! I’m unable to find an FB page with the name you shared though, would it at all be possible to share a link to the FB page? Thank you very much for all of your videos too, you’ve made this move a lot less worrisome for us!!

What kind of river is the Saint johns? Is it fast current? Is it clear or brownish? Does it smell nice? Are there a lot of bugs there in the summer? Are there beaches besides the river? Thank you so very much for all those videos and all that work! It sounds like Saint Johns and the rest of the surrounding areas it's all very beautiful.
@WeLoveSaintJohn
@WeLoveSaintJohn 3 года назад
First of all, I'm no expert on rivers. But from what I know, it's over 600 km long and actually begins in the US state of Maine. It's considered tidal, it has an average current, but moves faster in the spring during the snow melt in the north. It can get jammed up by ice so it does tend to be subject to flooding in the spring. In most parts I see it as brilliant blue but as it gets closer to the Bay of Fundy it appears a little green and then a little brown. The crazy tidal action in the Bay causes the river to reverse it's flow and there silt from the ocean floor to be churned and appear slightly muddy at times. In some areas the river appears more like a lake, very wide and calm. I'm not sure what the river smells like but it does seem to be a fresh smell or at least that's the impression it makes on me. There are many many beaches along the river and they are very popular for swimming. But yes, as with most fresh water, it can be quite popular with the bugs. Mosquitos and black flies mostly. There are also many tributaries which are also very beautiful but subject to freezing for a few months in the winter. Hope this answers a little bit of your questions.

@@WeLoveSaintJohn yes! Thank you! I can't see that's why I ask you about the river's colour and appearance in general. Thank you!

Grand Bay- Westfield is NOT a subburb of Saint John. It is its own little hamlet all on its own. I live in Saint John and it has nevet been associated with Grand Bay at all. Thats like saying canada is part of the USA cuz they are close to each other. They have their own community and its farther away from saint John than you think. City buses dont have a route out there at all. You pay out of city cab fair (so by the mile not by min.) If you take a cab there and if you look on the any map like google maps you will see it isnt even close to the city at all.
