A full-on report of my Rim 2 Rim 2 Rim adventure. On this video you will get raw footage from the day, followed by a first person description of how everything unfolded (minute 10:07) and finally some tips/frequent questions about the challenge (minute 18:41).
Here is the Strava file: / strava
While Rim 2 Rim 2 Rim is not an official event or race, the degree of difficulty, combined with the canyon’s extraordinary geology, has garnered a reputation as a requisite proving ground for elite ultramarathoners and made it a bucket-list item for thousands of elite and nonelite trail runners globally.

Really useful.Planning on this challenge later in the year.Ran/hiked the South Kaibab trail to Phantom, then back up the Bright angel many times, and familiar with this route.Hiked over to the North rim and back to stay once before ,but look forward to doing the long one. Thanks for sharing 👍

Thanks for a great video, so much information, not just the usual endless video of running. Doing r2r2r in may 2022 and your video is such a great resource, I’m sure I’ll watch many more times.

Just made this run. I did it in 10:23hrs. Got 110 down in the box but overall a very pleasurable run. I’ve never experienced such beautiful scenery! Great job on the video

Thanks again brother for sharing the effort with us. Your comment 11:43 in - Boom. You also answered the questions I had concerning nutrition, use of poles ( I am not a pole guy but at age 61 going to start), amount of hydration (every run and person is different), and most importantly your tips: IF I had to do this over again what would I do differently? Very important information. Have a great weekend. Be blessed.

if I had to do this over again, I would probably try to hook up with someone for part (or the entire thing) so it is not as lonely and isolated. I would also know exactly how much I would need to save for the final climb, prior to it I was under the wrong impression that once you are back to Phantom Ranch the second time and with the "finish in sight" it would be much easier than it actually was.

Excellent job cranking this run out! You illustrate an excellent point about running in the GC, which is; we do so, on the thinnest of margins. Sometimes the canyon wins, sometimes we win. For me, that's part of the appeal....always looking for that "perfect" run. Thanks for all the tips, and for taking the time to shoot and edit the trek!
