For my 4.0L XJ, I got the Flowmaster cat back. This has a smooth growl that doesn't degrade into an annoying drone. For my 2005 JGC with the 3.7L I got the Dynomax. A nice sounding exhaust, but it sounds a bit constrained. Of course, if you enhance the exhaust, you need to enhance the intake...breathing and all that. Went with the AirRaid CAI. Now it makes cool noises from both ends!
I got the magnaflow round 3 inch.. Not raspy and deep rumble bee sound.. Love it. Not nearly as much drone as the vortex cherrybomb during mds operating.. I paid 550 for my set up and welded all custom.. Single out.. Shop couldn't fit dual 3s because brake lines and wires for fuel tank were to close.
I had a 2007 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 3.7 and it started losing speed and burning gas. So I changed spark plugs coil packs oil filter 02 sensors oil and it still doing the same thing. Do you think out the catalytic converter?
what do you recommend for my grand cherokee wk 3.7, I want to put a not very noisy exhaust system on it, it does not have either of the two catalytic converters since they were stolen from me in a mechanical workshop? Or do I have to put catalytic converters back on? It would help me a lot since at the moment I don't use it because of the quite strong noise
I started with making an SRT clone as well. I have a set of SRT reps if you are interested in buying them? As for your exhaust I would recommend a single flow master 40.
@@Notrailrated ok thanks I'll take a look at them if you want to email me chrisfederico70@gmail.com, because I got the front bumper and side skirts just need to finish the back and need to finish it off with the exhaust. And I just ordered the k & n intake and watched your video after spet close to 4, I hope it at least sounds good. I drive in the city from boston so no off road
Hey man, I have a 3.7 V6 2008 grand Cherokee as well and I recently got a muffler delete with a new tip. The drone is so loud at high rpms and it’s super irritating. I want to keep the muffler deleted but also tone it down so the drone isn’t so bad. Is there anything you could recommend to me because I am on a budget and don’t want to spend a whole lot.
A muffler delete 😳 I have a flow master 10 and it was obnoxious before my tune and lift. The muffler I bought was only like $15. I would recommend a flow master 40. I can send you the link for one, they are like $20 as well.
Notrailrated yeah that would be great. So you think I should get the flow master 40 muffler installed and it will still sound good with little to no drone?
I put a gibson exhaust on my 3.7 but its meant for a 4.7. Now I'm throwing some codes any advice? Should I put an air intake like you did to increase pressure?
What other parts are recommended to change out with the 4 inch lift? Do the cv axles and everything work or do I need longer ones? I'm really temping getting one
Hey notrailrated, do you experience death wobble? I was told by quite a few experienced mechanics and jeep-loving friends that messing with the suspension will highly increase yours chances of getting death wobble. I have the same exact cherokee as yours and have been wanting to lift it since I got it but I’m worried from what everyone has told me. Would greatly appreciate a respone. Aloha brother
@@ekummel I also went with the Dynomax. I like the deep notes on a cold start but mine has a drone on the highway. Not sure if you’re experiencing the same
@@Notrailrated it's the spacer 4" tall ? That means you got 8 inches up. Right ? I have a 1.5" spacer in front it gave me 3" I need to lift mine more cause I got new bigger tires.
@@Notrailrated ok. The shop I went to they told me that. It gives you twice the measurement of the spacer itself. If that's true, then yours should be 2" spacer. Like I said, I lifted 3" mine but I got new tires (265/70/R17) I need to go up more on both rear and front.
I upgraded my Grand Cherokee V6 exhaust with Vibrant 1792 and use a 4" tip. Perfect sound! Comparison video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qHvfon-lPiY.html
