It's rewarding to do work on your own Jeep Grand Cherokee WK, and swapping out your old exhaust for a stainless steel cat-back system from Magnaflow can be one of the most rewarding things you can do. I hope my comprehensive DIY instructions can give you the confidence needed to complete this project.
I suggest grabbing the tools and parts below and watching this video at least once before you get started. And make sure your exhaust system is cold before beginning any work!

Great video. Clear voice with no crappy music in the background.I just had my 06 Jeep GC Laredo done by my mechanic. Cost me $375.00. At 70 I’m done crawling under cars.

Thank you for sharing, and what I liked is that you put a link for all the materials and tools that were used, and I hope everyone will do that. Thanks again

Hey man, thanks for the tips. I would have never of thought to use a hacksaw on the flange bolts. Absolutely brilliant! I’m going to one up you and use my reciprocating saw for faster removal. The nuts on my flange are rusted beyond anything I’ve ever seen and there is no way I’ll ever get a socket on them. So glad I found your video. Thanks so much!

Helpful video. I bought a 2005 5.7L WK last year partially to start learning my own maintenance. I’ve a P0153 O2 error and - after RU-vid’ing some how-to’s - went under the chassis today to see how difficult it’d be to fix myself and found that the exhaust pipe had rusted through completely; pipe’s not even connected after the muffler, bolts sheared off, etc. I was a little freaked out being a novice, but your video makes it seem a doable home repair job.

Great video..it worked out perfectly for me!!! I had the same exact issue with the frozen bolts :-( OMG after 10 mins of getting almost nowhere with the hacksaw, I just lit it up with the sawzall! LOL... Thanks again

Great video, very thorough. However, I myself would use soapy water to remove the hanger rubber, will dry up and flake away, lithium will stay in place and create the potential of something slipping off when you dont want it to. Thanks for video!

Thank you for posting this video. I have an XK and will be attempting to change the exhaust as well. It's my understanding these two chassis are identical. Guess we'll see.

Great Video. Mechanic wants to charge 600 is that fare?

Does it include this muffler in that $600?

$600 is way over priced. Unless you have a complete exhaust system installed.

Nice video. I actually have a 2010 Jeep WK 3.7 V6, with this same exhaust however, doesn't it sound a little ricey to you? I was expecting of a more Muscle car kind of sound and when I drive it it reminds me kind of a honda civic lol.
@dungeonmotorsport

Thank you. Yeah, it does sound better than stock but also not what I expected. I'd still recommend it.

Thinking about doing this to my '06 3.7l v6 grand cherokee but both Magnaflow and amazon say that this model (#16834), doesn't fit the '06 Grand cherokee with this engine. The "compatible" model (#16632) is listing for about 50% more than the one you listed. Got any idea why that might be?
@dungeonmotorsport
@dungeonmotorsport 4 года назад
16632 = 2005-2006 V6 16384 = 2007-2010 V6 No idea why it more expensive...
