As a GFR fan from the 70s, this is complete garbage. Sounds like a bad Grand Funk cover band. Not good. And what's the deal with the random kick drum on the stage?
Its as much as an abortion as this, just youtube ( Thin Lizzy - 'The Boys Are Back In Town' Live At Ramblin' Man Fair 2016 ) Talk about people putting someone else's jacket on their own coat hanger and then saying it's theirs.
Don Brewer (original member since 1969) on drums. Though we see little of him here, Mel Schracher (original member in the early years who returned) on bass. Guitarists are Bruce Kulick (of Kiss fame) and Max Carl (of 38 Special fame). Current lineup has been together over 20 years. IMHO Mel is THE most underrated bass guitarist of the early 1970's (before they added keyboard), his bass lines as a trio are insanely good. Don Brewer if I recall correctly wrote most of the music as well. Great band !!!
That would be grossly inaccurate. Most of the songs (and hits) were written & performed by Mark Farner with Brewer co-writing some. Without Farner this is just a cover band.
