“Grand Seiko Complete Service” is a repair service in which an interior/overhaul is performed together with a “Light polish” in a set. A “Light polish” burnishes the surface of a watch case and metal band to make them look shiny.
It’s sentimental because GS watches are marketed horology with an artisan quality as opposed to luxury with gawdy precious gems. So when a watch comes “home” for servicing, it’s a special feeling really. I like this marketing concept. GS already has a reputation for being the watch you really get if you are into impressing yourself. Keep it up GS!

Impressive! Glad to see that they actually do a underwater pressure test as well. Most companies do only air pressure tests. This is what your are paying for when going in for a complete service. Thanks Grand Seiko for showing this! Every GS video makes me proud to own one 🙏🏻
My SBGA375 is the best time piece I’ve ever owned. After watching this, I’m almost looking forward to the time when it needs service. Thank you to the GS craftsmen for perfecting their craft.

Unlike the "so called" Swiss Brands charging you more for their family names than for the Precision and satisfaction you demand, Grand Seiko is just pure Self Satisfying Impression of what a human truly wants to see when he/she glances down his/her wrist and feel that true bliss of an everlasting treasure. It is worth becoming a family heirloom.
Sharoon Javaid I love GS..... but every manufacturer services it’s watches like this......but you can get it done locally.... in this case it’s sent back to Japan and you lose your watch for months!
@@watchesoflondon2333 during warranty, the local AD can even make things difficult when they do not want to absorb shipping costs and complete the paperwork involved
I have worked at omega and rolex and I can without a doubt say the service seen in this video is below par than what omega and rolex do. Yes grand seiko is good, but it's a entry level brand with prices only going up to around 20k. This is reflected in the watch itself. Yes the finishing is great but the design and movement quality, although looks good doesn't perform well under shock or long term use.

Firstly, the soundtrack is amazing. Secondly, this is a Japanese watchmaker and manufacturer and just look at this video honestly, wow. I very nearly fell asleep while listening right now instead of typing. But I wouldn't mind owning one of these one day. They're amazing. Gorgeous.

@@yasminekassem hahaha I thought you might like it. I've been very obsessed with them lately, they're just incredible. And yeah they could be considered. Some would even consider them above Rolex. Funny that. Cause less people have heard of them. It's because the attention to detail, and effort on each individual watch is superior. Every single watch is hand made by 2 watchmakers. And price wise, they go from 4k up to 200k haha but the majority of what you'd actually purchase or see would be around 8-12k I guess.

It would be nice to own one, I stopped at marine master also. Sometimes I feel like selling it for a grand seiko but I honestly don't know if it's gonna blow me away because the marine master has some great finishing.
Does Seiko service the 8L35 movement, regulation, testing, for accuracy like the 9S GS? I am requesting Seiko to regulate & ensure that this accurate movement be managed like Swiss COSC watches. I expect this, the prices of Prospex SLA models is close to similar Longines watches.
Is the only factory service only performed in Japan? Also, does anyone have experience with pricing and duration recommendations of their movements? Much appreciated. Thanks.
@@EJ93219 Depends on the movement. In the meantime, simple 3-hand-movements can be serviced at more and more official Seiko-Service Centres. But their more complicated watches can only be serviced in Japan.
Grand Seiko is the only luxury brand that is worth the price. Forget swiss brands in terms of real quality (with maybe 3 exceptions but also very expensive). If You want a great quality and newest technology witchout that marketing BS - Grand Seiko is the way to go. The only bad thing about GS is that their divers are soo huge. I wish they would make smaller divers.
You are talking shit. Trying to claim Swiss watches aren’t worth the money is idiotic. Why cant Japanese watch fans enjoy their watches without having to shit all over other brands? GS are good watches but the hype is getting stupid, and I say that as a GS owner.
Curious- Anyone know if service of this quality is even remotely mirrored from the high-end Swiss watch luxury brands? Half of me would be surprised, the other half wouldn't.
From past experience working at omega and rolex. the rolex service is much more in depth and finely tuned than Grand Seiko. Cant say the same for omega however it is aqaquet, just a more production line approach.
Today, at all luxury watch brands the after-sales service is at the same high level. Rolex use the standard of the Contrôle officiel suisse des chronomètres (COSC). Grand Seiko´s standard is a little higher concerning accuracy of their watches.
