Part 3 of rescuing my Grandpas XE S-Pack Ford Falcon which he bought brand new in 1982, but was a barn find for me. Today I service the transmission, clean the interior and cover some miles. While it might seem like this is the end of this series, don't worry! Its not the last time you will see this Falcon on the channel. make sure you hit the subscribe button to stay up to date as there's some new cars to the channel on the horizon! Link below to Part 1 and Part 2.

I loved watching this. Childhood memories came flooding back. My Dad came home with a brand new XE falcon in 1984 and I remember Mum being really unhappy because he traded in her Datsun sunny 😂

seeing those stripes on those seats takes me back to my grandfathers xd that had the same pattern on them

@spikel984
I can't get over how cool these Falcons look when sitting a bit lower!

I was working in a Ford dealership back in '82-'83. The XE's were just coming through - and while they seem very basic by today's standards, back then they seemed really nice. Especially the Fairmont Ghias and ESPs.

Great to see your GrandDads all nice and clean. Great cruiser. Yes the spare wheel does sit on a angle. Very cool car to hit the streets and cruise. Yes please bring on the merch corolla your Drift car Please....

That ride height is spot on 👌👌

The trans looks good they all have a magnet in them. It’s also a rebuild adjusting the bands is easy if it’s slow to take reverse or first. I worked on hundreds of them in the 80s and 90s.

I don't live all that far from you, specifically in Moculta which is halfway between Truro and Angaston! Love seeing all these old Falcon restoration/revival vids! My Grandfather has a EB XR6 Falcon that has only done 110,000 km (only gets driven on occasions fairly short trips.)
@imidsikkey
The magnets in the trans pan are supposed to be there. They catch band material and what not. It's totally normal to see them coated in metal. It's usually not anything to worry about 😊

love this. so many childhood memories in the old XE towing the viscount van across the countryside.. The XE did a few trips to barossa valley from Melbourne. Dad had every falcon from XB to ED as company cars. white XB, green XC, brown XD, beige XE S-pack (we used to call it the spack pack), white XF, mint green EA, red EB (the EA and EB could be swapped colours, can't remember) and a dark metallic green ED similar if not the same as your EB. Off to carsales to see what's available!

Lovely work mate Jesus she is a clean honest old thing luv it 👍👌

I know it’s too late now to mention but we always did a band adjustment on those autos. It helps the shifting and prevents excessive wear to the bands.
@rossgarykelly84
Well done remembering before shots, always easy to forget.
@brucemelton4983
