Wasn't exactly a war between these two but anything from the good old days of Eastenders is entertaining to me. Enjoy! Just shows how Dennis was scared of Grant after being owned by him when they first met. Mitchells rule all!
Best era of eastenders by a long way , the Mitchell's and Rickman days were classic and I don't believe we will ever see this again now it's all gone soft

I dunno... I think Phil Vs Johnny was brilliant! When Johnny said "I've got him right there 👌" about Grant and Phil's response was one of the best lines ever "well you can't 'av cos he's a lot bigger than that" 😂😂😂
Darskul No he wasn't...Dennis did talk back to grant. When grant held Dennis he said "get your hands off me" and grant did. Dennis is not scared. Dennis is fast and grant is stronger.
I think the plan all along was to have the Mitchell Brothers vs Den & Dennis storyline, but becuase of Leslie Grantham's controversy they went another direction and killed Den off, i bet the writers were just gagging to finally have Den Watts and Grant Mitchell finally meet on screen but they couldn't which is a shame, we'll never see it now.
Grant was one of my favourite characters in eastenders he reminded me of wolf in gladiators he could be hard and tough but had a soft nice side if people respect him he had respect for them but people don't want to get on the wrong side of him
The only person in the whole of Eastenders that he would never lay a hand on was Nigel funny enough he put his brother in a coma he slapped his mum hit his wife yet it was always Nigel that he would never bring any harm too there was just something about him that made him special I guess
I wish Grant returned before Den died, it would have been great to see a war between Phil and Grant vs. Dennis and Den, it was a bit early for Den to die anway.

i remember when dennis first arrived and there was much ambiguity over who was stronger out of him and phil. i remember thinking "dennis would probably win against phil eventually, but grant would beat the crap out of dennis" never thought we'd actually see that happen

Dennis: But wouldn’t it be better if you made some calls, got me some help, and we kick them into next week? I mean, I’m a fighter, not a master manipulator! Johnny: No, no, play mind games with them Dennis. That’s sure to work.
It’s kinda weird how in recent years Grant and Phils roles have almost reversed in a way. In the 90’s it was always Grant who was quick to temper and quick to throw his fists and react violently, with Phil being more reserved. But in recent times now it seems like Phil is the one is the one whose quicker to throw his fists, with Grant being the more calm and level headed one.
It’s interesting how Grant’s return mirrored Den’s in some ways. The “hello mum” as the first line which was similar to Den’s “hello princess”. Grant breaking into the Queen Vic at night, going behind the bar and acknowledging the Queen Vic bust on the bar which is what Den also did. Having Den and Grant meet would have made this Eastenders storyline amazing.
the fact at the end johnny alan and den are asking each other to split grants head says they knew theyd never be able to do it..........Grant Mitchell is the only EE hardman who never hesitates to fight anyone....Den would only fight in self defence vs Grant...Grant fights anyone without ever backing down lol
Frank was Grants dads age when he wanted to fight lol Grant was about 26/27 and frank about 55....Grant evens says to him " frank your 20 years to old and 20 ilbs over weight "
@@kevshearer3245 Grant would've beaten Dan's ass. To be fair I also think Phil could've beaten Dan back then as well, Dan outmuscled him but Phil got the upper hand in every other unarmed confrontation. Hell twice Dan had gotten thrown by Phil like he was nothing. Even when Dan was pointing at Phil with the gun, he was taunting him, meanwhile Dan we pleading for his life like a little baby, Phil was the hardman there.
@@Darskul How you interpret things is very weird. There was no other unarmed confrontation barring Phil pushing Dan against the wall when Dan had his guard down. Phil literally was the initial aggressor in the confrontation where Dan unmuscled him & he still got pinned. How come big bad Phil who has no problem hitting & bullying anyone else when they get in his face never did it with Dan even with all Dan's threats? Because Phil never had the same confidence he could beat Dan that's why & he was right too, Dan was considerably bigger, fitter & more powerful than Phil. Only in the land of fairies & make believe does a guy the size of Dan lose to a short tubster like Phil. LOL. And Dan's cries for help were for Mel to create a distraction which worked perfectly & allowed Dan to regain the upperhand, sparking Phil out with ease.
I love how Jake seriously deludes himself into thinking he can take Phil on here, obviously he's doing it to save face in front of chrissie - he's pretty lucky phil didnt punch him, he would fall down straight away.
I think Phil being framed by Den for armed robbery and getting put in jail for it could have provided a perfect opportunity for Grant to return, I would have loved to see Grant attempt to get Phil released for that and then the Mitchell brothers together having a fued with Dennis and Den. If Grant returned when Chrissie framed Sam for Den's murder, why wasn't Grant there for his brother when Den framed him (I'm not sure if he still resented Phil for his affair with Sharon).
They need to make Jay and Ben into the new version of Phil & Grant but BBC producers too scared of doing hardcore gripping storylines due to people making complaints to offcom.
Yep but if was the other way around Grant would be straight up from the piano bashing. In this case Dennis wasn't straight back up. So I give the edge to Grant in a fight at that moment in time.
this is the classic era of eastenders...i stopped watching it around 10 years as i consider the soap is now going down the pan...old enders is always worth watching.
Grant has changed alot in 2016. He's a lot wiser now and not a loose cannon as was during the 90s. He can't fight any more. What he did to Ian was nothing.
I knew Dennis was gonna be in trouble the minute grant came back. I was overjoyed when he picked Dennis up and drove him down into that piano, grant is way harder than Dennis, and much stronger.
@@intenseninja8241 I doubt it, Sean was way stronger than Dennis physically and could punch just as hard. It would be a good fight but I’d put my money on Slater Sean.
@@H.K.5 No he wasn't Dennis Rickman will always be famous for knocking out the then hardman Phil Mitchell when he first arrived. Phil once knocked Sean out in the vic and never retaliated. My money would of been on Dennis if those two met.
Damn, i miss these days, now enders is gone all lame even tho i still watch it. The mitchells were great before, we had, dennis, johnny, andy, nick. Who we got now? derek? lol
Grant absolutely ragdolled Dennis lol. Dennis was just lucky that this version of Grant was nothing like the Grant Mitchell of old. It would've got ugly.
The writers definitely mugged dennis's character here. Making out he was scared of grant when dennis actually killed a man, phil must have told grant this hence why at 12:22 when dennis looked grant in the eyes and said "take your hand off me" grant knew he was looking at a killer which is something the mitchell brothers could never do.
Grant almost brained Dennis with a chair... I sometimes wonder what would have happened if Phil or Sharon hadn't have stopped him at the last second...
Dennis have no chance with Grant. Grant Hard man soaps history dennis 3rd hardest in eastenders I wish Dennis still be in eastenders and vs jack be good fight and mick as well.
