Unfortunately, yes. I saw them many times in the 70’s and Donna’s singing is always in the wrong key or flat, she was beautiful and Keith’s wife, but my husband hates her singing, he groans whenever she is singing on my SiriusXM Dead Station. Fortunately they finally told her that she had to be let go, because her singing was almost always off key and flat. It wasn’t just us that heard her, Jerry and Bob had to tell her, it must have hurt her feelings, but she did get to tour the world with them.

The reason she was excepted into the GD is that Keith told Jerry and crew, he wouldn’t sign on as piano if they didn’t except Donna, he told the Dead that they came as a package deal.
