The many niches at the Chapel of Memories reminds me of the old Horn and Hardart Automat restaurants in New York City, where the portions of food sat in niches, and you purchased it by putting coins in a slot and opening the glass door.

Tony, I do remember that story and the name being taken off. I love looking at all the photos. I have a weird question? I wonder if people ever think about which photo they'd prefer to have on their headstones? What age? I know that my grandparents have their photos at about aged 60. My dad and his brothers about aged 48. I know I'd definitely use one from my 30's I think I looked better at that age then any other time in my life. Saddest thing is that I'd have a treasure box full of photos but lost everything few years back in house fire. It'd be rare to even find one now. Thank you for this big tour. Stained glass is always a favorite and the pictures.

People probably make arrangements ahead of time even what picture they want maybe not everybody but some.

I am always astounded at the really ugly photos that were chosen for eternity. Did someone dislike the deceased that much? Did they only have one picture of them? Or did the deceased have a great sense of humor??
