Just like MW2, MW3 will be garbage and heavily marketed towards Warzone. MW 2019 did a huge comeback on the franchise as it showed the gritty reality of modern warfare. A shame such potential is wasted possibly due to politics in video games. Graves is such a pretentious character just like Ghost, it does no justice towards the original MW2 which was way better.

CoD for pussies. Shaped into a game for the current weak generation of special snowflake gamers. OG CoD was a game made for men, deaths where hitting hard and you just knew its not a joke story game for weak minded snowflakes. Deaths in this game mean nothing, since nobdy dares to hurt some feelings anymore. CoD always was kinda detached from reality for the action, but now its completely detached from reality beyond anything, just to not hurt any feelings.

Same, I also don’t feel like Graves like Shepherd at all. After everything happened, the missiles and Las Almas. I think Graves is done with Shepherd but he just stays because they have common interests or he is waiting for a right time to bite back. So here’s what I take from this: As a military contractor Graves was also providing military aid to Farrah’s militia as (what I assume) Shepherd didn’t agree with her forces being put on “the list” and contracted Graves to continue providing them US aid. Farrah could careless about the rumours of what Graves did in South America because the majority of the people he killed were corrupt and in the pocket of the cartels (I know he still killed civies). With only her cause in mind Farrah agrees to the terms of Graves to eliminate a common enemy; Konni group. Farrah hates the threat of Russian invaders and Graves hated them for what they did to his men after the ambush. Ngl I kinda like where this is going

The biggest clue was that he never reacted to any of the gunshots or explosions around him. They were really big on sound in the game so you'd expect Graves' transmissions to have echos of our hits.

What I’m getting from the entire series story is that there are no bad guys and good guys just people doing what they need to do. We see them as villains because they work against the protagonist but it doesn’t mean they don’t all have the same underlying goals

@@jamalwilburn228 this is an earnest question because you and the other commenter got me genuinely curious about what actually does constitute a retcon: would you consider Han from the Fast and Furious series showing up in Fast 9 to be one? Cause you never saw him die but his being alive makes absolutely no sense even with the explanation given and was only due to him becoming a fan favourite over time (they even joke about it in Fast Five about finally reaching the present day when his character can no longer appear, due to being exploded and all)

Hell, dare I say that there is plenty of evidence that he was nowhere there when the tank was destroyed, because: -Possibly remote-controlled tank -Graves never reacts to being hit in the tank -Graves goal of fleeing instead of standing his ground -Activision themselves saying that Shadown Company is involved in this game. Now, unless they somehow got a new leader to answer to General Shepherd, there is no way the company would recover as quickly as they did...unless their leader never died in the first place

Graves turned on 141 because he was Shepard's orders and killing cartel-aligned affiliates, no matter who to find the lost missile, was something that he would gladly do in a heartbeat. Here, he doesn't really have a reason to betray Keller and Karim.

But such is war, strange and desperate alliances are formed and are just as easily broken. Here Graves and Shepherd have a personal score to settle with Konni and Makarov. As such Shadow Company might decide to turn on Alex and Farah, if and when they have Makarov in their grasp.

If none of the good guys die, then the story it’s just incredibly boring. Not really exciting if all good guys win all the time. Look at the original trilogy. We lost Gaz and Griggs in MW1, Most of TF141 in MW2, and Soap and Yuri in MW3. If there’s no consequences and risks, then what’s the point? So far in MW reboot no good main character has died

Honestly yea, it didn't really make sense for Shadow Company to be the bad guys this time around nor did it make sense for Graves to kinda just go "Hmm . . . I like your base uhh- I'm gonna take it. Also your men are detained." when the issue in the first place was that they got ambushed by Konni trying to give Farah's forces the missiles and had to bury it. If anything, the writing of the MW2 campaign was just . . . off . . . Like when they bombed half of Mexico just to get their hands on Hassan, but let him go because "Illegal". Like- wasn't it supposed to be "We get our hands dirty so the world stays clean"? Still kinda glad to see Graves back though, just wish they didn't make him into an antagonist for like . . . very poor reasons aside from maybe just "pmc bad" on a writing level. Like- the mission before they had just stopped one of the missiles all buddy buddy than it's a hard cut to "My base now, time to kill civilians."

If you think about it, Graves had to betray 141 because he was only doing his job under the command of Sheppard. But now that Sheppard is off the grid, Graves is basically on his own now. But I think that Activision is giving Graves a redemption arc because he was a fan-favorite

They definitely know what graves did, it’s quiet obvious with the “died in South America” line. The reason laswell didn’t send tf141 members like gaz, ghost, soap or price is because they would act violently towards graves, whereas Alex and Farah weren’t present when the betrayal happened, so they are less likely to be violent against graves

I have a bad feeling graves will also turn on Alex and Farah. Edit: I also feel like Alex and Farah were sent as opposed to Price, Soap, Ghost, and Gaz, since they have tension and wouldn't exactly want to agree on joining forces with SC. Edit2: i think graves could also use the same accusation he did when he assumed Alejandro had previously had ties with Valeria, who is now in the cartel. I feel like he may do the same with Farah, assuming Hadir was her brother and with AQ, graves may also assume Farah has ties to AQ, turning on them.
