Would love a tutorial from you. Knowing that there are a couple of tutorials out there there is for sure place for more since in my feeling the entry in this game is really tough! I am still working to figure things out (artillery, placibg of spotters, command levels, etc). Its tough and frustrating. Probably you could showcase some things? Subscribed!
A really interesting commentary. The UI has really improved over the years. At some point I'll take another look. I've wanted to like it the past but maybe just didn't put in sufficient time and effort to get over the initial learning curve. Thanks for the vid. :)
you should try GHPC(Gunner Heat pc) a new tank sim what tries to be realistic like Steel beast but easy to use controlls like War thunder the will simulate wind effecting the rounds Rounds to Shrapnel damage aka X ray damage system like in war thunder just more in depth the also take Temp from rounds storaged inside the tank if the some how get extremly hot the will start cooking or if you hit propellent charge inside a tank either see a instant cook off or see black smoke coming out of the tank then it starts burning the also have realistic FCS system its in extrem early stage right now the are doing Fulda gab 1985 scenario right now after that is done the will do more like dessert storm or mayby ww3 with the tanks and vehicles from that timeline so you wont see a leo 2a7 in 1985 fulda gab the also added US crew voices not long ago and the sound amazing its worth checking out
Thanks for your comment. Yes, GHPC promises to be a new great addition to the virtual tanker diet. I spoke with the head honcho and part of the team last year. Great people and great new game/sim. Cheers.
Awesome video covering a lot of good points i have to admit this to me is THE BEST simulation of ww2 combat out there however what do people think about comparing this to Call to Arms - Gates of Hell i enjoy both but i'm wondering what opinions are thanks again RASWB fantastic blog you have here much love to all.
Hi Cristian. Thanks for your comment and sorry for the late response. It's an option in the plain vanilla version. Options>General Settings>Appearance>Wehrmacht. Cheers,
the only real problem with this game is some of the mechanics such as communication between units ,or how to setup on map artillery et cetera , but other than that its great , heck even the ai is pretty clever
The price for this game is unfounded. 2 "campaigns" full price. Barely sny skrimish customization i.e. replayability value and every dlc costs as much as a full price indie game
It may very well be, but to be honest I get a lot of quality time out of each DLC. I've lost respect for the so-called "indie" game industry. I have a full graveyard of those in my hard drive.
@@RealandSimulatedWarsBlog Still: a full game that a full team of people worked on for 2-5 years: 15 bucks. Another generic single Map with 3 different "campaigns" on it with 5-10 turns each by a developer remaking the same game under different names for 10+ years now: 15 bucks I even wrote a mail to them why they still not include a proper written tutorial; "because its too much work since people dont read anyway" Yeah no shitting you
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti the most striking thing is that the graviteam tactics is still the budget option over the combat mission series. Computer wargaming is just absurdly expensive.
Unfortunately that experience with the tanks ignoring that tank right in your midst is pretty common in the Graviteam games and a big reason why I stopped playing. The developer crows on about how great his AI is, yet that kind of nonsense happens way too often for my taste. Why would that tank drive through your column to begin with?! 😕
you would be surprised what happens in war , humans have done dumber stuff , for example there used to be a clip of some syrian rebel or whatever putting his PKT on a shopping trolley and trying to cross the streat only to have his head popped , so the ai ocasionaly doing something dumb doesnt bother me in the slightest
@@mcsmash4905 He is right though. There must be some serious bugs in the AI because some units are totally ignored at times. You can even have your units drive 3 meters away and facing in the open and they won't fire on them (and yes they have ammo, no dmg, LOs etc) Also some units seem randomly indestructible for long periods. I have had T34's and larger calibre AT guns pummelling SDK's for dozens of rounds and even the gunner is unaffected. Other times enemy tanks just bounce every shell even to rear armour even at point blank ranges. And no way your column of tanks does not spot an enemy tank travelling down the same road in the opposite direction or vice versa. It is a great game but we need to accept it has some serious faults and bugs, especially when the combat gets close and messy.
