Usually shows in Brazil beats some of the big world cities shows. IDK why. I can recall a great David Guetta show at Guarapari (a small beach city at a small brazilian state) and another one at Cape Town at Ultra festival that sucked ass. I don't know, I guess brazilian crowds make the shows as well. But german and russian crowds, especially in rock/metal shows, are hard contestants too
I was there and I cried in that solo, because during the entire concert John seemed a little nervous and kind of worried about the limited time to perform, but in that moment he spread his wings and was at his best. As a guitar player myself i recognize the moment when music takes over and you are only a channel for something bigger come to existence, you are only yourself, and yet everyone else at the same time... A moment like this makes a whole life worth living.

Some storytelling: in this day he was the opening act for Bruce Springsteen, but it was John's first time ever in Brazil, so a lot of fans flew from every corner of the country to watch his show. After he finished his performance, a huge part of the audience went home since some people were standing there waiting for John under a very hot sun for 10 hours or so. Afterwards Bruce did an amazing show (as usual) of about three hours that pissed off the organization because it wasn't supposed to last that long, but for a way smaller audience than John, although it was still like tens of thousands of people. Some people even argued that John should be the final act of the day, but I personally think that Bruce being the opening act for John would be a little too much lol
Lucas Montenegro exatcly! And I was one of those people going home after John's performance. Seeing almost half of the audience walking out of the front stage was really weird and funny at the same time.
I was there that day just for John Mayer, I didn't even watch Springsteen's concert. Right after Mayer's concert I left Rock in Rio. Last year I was there in Jeunesse Arena too. Unforgetable moments
I stayed 13 hours without going to the bathroom, under the hot sun, just to see all 4 concerts and I don’t regret. It was amazing, and best part was that touched Springsteen’s hand and arm because of Mayer’s fans that left early LOL. Good times 🥰

Everyone changes. Musicans too. they don't be better, or worse.. just different. He changes too... if he didn't change a little every year, he would get tired of his music... this is the way that he could play everytime with happiness. :)) Enjoy it!
After this solo, I confirmed something what I already knew: this guy is the best composer, guitarist and the complete artist in the world in this time!! COME BACK TO BRAZIL, JOHN... You're the best!! :D
I've watched a lot of JM performances...this one blows them away by far. Throwing the guitar on the ground and then crushing that solo....are you kidding me?
Steve jordan is one of the most amazing drummers i've ever seen. and Gravity played for him is another story...but Aaron Sterling is so so good! with a capital "G" the sound of the snare is from another planet...Good for Him...

It's just impossible watch it again and don't go back to almost a week ago! A dream of years came true! Everything I read in the past week in social media from your fans, just proves how many lives you touched with your music and how you touched us all even deeper by playing with such a passion in our country. It was much MUCH more than I expected, it felt like an eternity while it lasted and yet it seemed to have ended too soon. This gig was PERFECT!! Absolutely amazing, I was in awe. Thank John for the music, for keeping on going, for finally coming over, for this excellently performed concert, it was very very emotional for all of us, & thank you for the promise to always come back again. We simply can't wait for more of this brilliancy. We love & miss you already. Best show of my life, hands down.
