The Greydeath Legion the mercs who saved mankind from falling into the abyss and the only ones to get away with not paying their phonebills.

The Gray Death Legion, one of the most renowned of mercenary units in the setting. Formed from humble beginnings as the combination of the shattered remains of Grayson's father's merc command and a local militia in 3024 and meeting their end in 3065, their most famous feat was the recovery of the Helm Memory Core, which contained detailed information on so much precious lost Star League science and technology, and Grayson Carlyle made it a point to give it to the Inner Sphere for free rather than keep it to himself or seek to sell it to the highest bidder. And they did so at a very high price, losing much of their regiment at the hands of Free Worlds League forces that had been duped into fighting them by an ambitious ComStar precentor. And then later, during the Clan Invasion, they proved to be one of the very few merc units that could fight with some success against the Clan onslaught despite the costs. They were also the pioneers of the serious face development and usage of Inner Sphere battle armor, debuting their Gray Death Standard and Scout battle armors against the Jade Falcons during the last year of the Clan Invasion. This song is a fine tribute indeed. And Talibah brought good vocals as usual. Keep the BT songs a comin', StringStorm.

A group called the Gray Death Legion, led by Grayson "Death" Carlyle. An incredible ammount of gloom and doom for people that turned out to be the defenders of hope and surival of all the inner shpere.

Everyone knows one must pay their phone bills, but not the Gray Death. They took their bills and rammed it into ComStar's collective throats.

The Gray Death Legion did more to save humanity than any other group. In releasing the Helm Memory Core, they began to reverse the LosTech phenomenon, starting the process of recovering from centuries of total war and ComStar conspiracies.

The Grey Death Legion are basically battletech’s version of Tekkadan from the Gundam (multiverse?). They start out in humble beginnings, do something completely awesome, then disbands soon after. In this case, it’s declaring war on a phone company Comcast, and almost single handedly reversing the setting’s technological decay.

I'm very happy to see that Tukayyid wasn't just a one off. More Battletech deserves to be immortalized with your wonderful music.

I was a battle tech fan before i was a warhammer one, seeing my favourite warhammer musician make battle tech song makes me awfully happy, and takes me back to the time where i was that little kid, who found a copy of "MechWarrior 4: Vengeance" and the rest is history. Thanks StringStorm.

That was awesome and definitely worth the wait. Something about the instrumentation and beats reminds me of the music from the Japanese Metal Hero shows like Jaspion I grew up watching in Brazil which really tickles my nostalgia bone.😆

Last time of I heard of them was in Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries, you can choose which mercenary faction you are and the grey death legion is one of them that of I remember correctly.

Nice timing, having just went back and started reading the Grey Death Trilogy. Started with the Warrior Trilogy, the Kerensky and then Jade Phoenix so going back and seeing where the books started was good

String. I knew nothing about battletech going into this. After hearing this awesome song, I'm now reading the first book about the Grey Death Legion "Decision At Thunder Rift" and it is amazing. Thanks for bringing us into another awesome universe. 👍

Saw this before I actually started Decision at Thunder Rift. Those first 3 books in the Gray Death Saga have been an awesome intro to battletech, and this was a good lead to that intro. Great work as always Stringstorm.

Talibah's voice has no place in Battletech, outside of a Noble House, at a first glance at Battletech as a series...... spend some time with the series, and the worst of the conflicts somehow become beautiful ballets, where her voice fits perfectly with the rough and brutal guitars. An unexpected but perfect mix! Same as most, I wouldn't have minded the music tuned a bit lower, but it's also fitting in a way, where no matter who's trying to actually improve the quality of life in the Innersphere, or how long there's been peace, it's temporary at best, the fires will always be relit to burn it to the ground.

If this is the grey death legion, then I can't wait for blackwatch (plz add in some bagpipes please.)

You know I had an image in my head that if this song was created in universe which had Grayson's face when he heard that a song was created about his unit. Though I wouldn't know if he would be amused or horrified. It has been ages since I read the first two GDL Books and I haven't even managed to read the rest of them either.
