I like the idea of the game. But, the fact that 6 years have passed since the demo and the game still looks unpolished like hell and is being released as early access doesn't inspire too much confidence in the developers.

And it is realistic that in a desperate post-apoc context, there would be religious fanaticism (like how extremists groups are very often born in chaos or under oppressive regimes). // I am aware the game has supernatural stuff, just saying the religious freakness is credible in itself.

27:13 yeah, as soon as I saw that van parked outside, I was like, "that's probably the abduction problem right there. They walk out the gate, the guy in the rape van nabs 'em." Not sure how the rapists are tied up with the tree monsters yet, but I guess things got kinkier than they planned on. It makes sense they'd go get the nuns. ...if I had to guess, it was some kind of harvest fertility ritual gone wrong, like the rapists (probably village elders or clergy) were making people jizz on the trees, but they didn't know one of the guys was a cannibal, and that gave the trees a taste for human blood. Now they're stuck satisfying their twisted desires with more kidnap victims just to try to spare the children. Only they're running out of guys, and the sex ritual has stopped working. If you don't get there fast enough, little Billy's gonna get violated by a tree and grow up to become a necromancer.

This has a neverwinter night feel to it.

4 years later and this looks like it's trapped in Early Access hell.

After watching so many of your videos Splat, I feel so many of these indie games are such a copy/paste to each other and they bring literally nothing to the table. Cheap animation, cheap graphics, cheap mechanics. Now we reached a point in time where they release pre-alpha??! I'd rather watch more chapters of better indie games you have played already, like Stoneshard or Hades rather than this garbage or other games that are in dev since yrs and will never see the light. I'm also of the opinion that it would be nice to see more " reviews " of finished indie games, but this is entirely personal. Also as animator, those pancakes hands just hurt my soul. looks like a game ill keep an eye on but i wont be touching it for a while i dont like backing early access things anymore , more times than not alot of games never come out of it and take the money and run or drag out what was supposed to be a short dev cycle alot longer just to stay in that early access promotion for money

this game is still going on? ive encountered this game and studio personally way WAY back in 2012, theyre based here in the philippines. they have a really talented set of artists but and this is a very big BUT, the working conditions are so bad and their boss is no better at management. im wondering why this is still going on for close to a decade now and i hope to god their artists have since moved on to greener pastures.

Cool concept, but not fleshed out enough it seems. The errors are a bit too frequent, and the lack of, I think you called it overwatch? When (or if..) it's been updated more, I hope you do another video, looks like it would be a cool game.

Interesting thought for a game but I couldn't even get plugged in halfway. The story gives you nothing to latch onto and it just looks void of any real supernatural feel.

You know a game is going to be kinda bad when you first start and every NPC looks the same nevermind the fact they have ripped off the start of the game and story from hellgate then put in turn based combat that doesnt work.

Splatt please please start skipping long dialogues and intro cinematics/exposition. The videos are only 30 minutes and we want to see how the game plays. We can see that stuff later if we buy the game. This way you waste so much of the video on pointless stuff. Half of this video does not show any gameplay.
