The 17th November 2019 dawned misty and damp but calm. The Great Central's 'Last Hurrah' is one of my favourite galas so. in spite of the weather I was determined to go. As usual, it lived up to expectation even though the rain started at lunchtime and I abandoned at 3-00pm with an acceptable set of shots 'in the can'. I usually try to avoid tender first running on passenger trains but couldn't resist the opening passing shot and the Hall blasting away from Quorn.
