34 year old dude at 58 Minutes hit home hard. I'm the same age, I don't even have a masters degree, I live with an amazing girlfriend who stands by me through everything, but I can't shake the feeling I've done everything wrong. I follow the rules, went to school, worked my way through, paid my debt, etc etc. I feel totally lost and useless man. I'm gonna drop Theo a voicemail because honestly, there's gotta be a few million people out there in the same spot. It's frustrating to go work every day and work your ass off to feel like you're just surviving. I'll keep surviving. SOMETHING is keeping me here, I just haven't found out what it is yet.

TheDarkEnergist it’s pretty normal at that age though to feel that way. We compare ourselves constantly to the image we built up in our minds since childhood. I think first do something that makes you feel accomplished. Depending on ability/mobility/finances find something that interests you that has an end goal. Like build something or if you like running train for a marathon, or take some sort of free community class. If the latter there’s tons of options like a language or a skill of types. The process of starting something, building a skill and having an end result does a lot for our mental health. It increases endorphins too. I hope this helps. I know the world is hard right now, but things will keep moving. 🤟🏻 good luck.

I also feel exactly how you do Theo. Very anxiety prone, high expectations, hard to be present, and feel lost although i have a lot of positives in life. Being almost 27 its a critical age of being way more responsible and growing up even more; not easy so all we can do is take it day by day and know we are doing what we can.
