TR's are all the fun of driving fast whilst still travelling at legal speeds ! I have driven modern fast cars and they are boring unless driven insanely and dangerously quickly on normal roads whereas a TR6 allows you to explore the limits whilst staying mainly the right side of the law .Miles of smiles every time you drive one.

John North agreed. I am lucky to have a couple of bonkers modern cars capable of 200mph. Absolute no use and frustrating on public roads.... bought a tr3a too..... now that is a blast. At road legal speeds, feels so fast. My wife says the tr3 stays, and the others will come and go!

Thousands and thousands of trouble free miles in my TR6. Do your maintenance, be mechanically sensitive and get ready for some driving fun!

My 1970 150bhp TR6 PI handled very well on dry, twisty roads but was a real handful in the wet because the great heavy lump under the bonnet induced huge understeer.

They didn't do anything that was even remotely hazardous. Lighten up.

gonna be hitting the St Benards pass this summer. thanks for the preview! I like how the TR6 handled, too! it also seem to have more gumpshun than the Porsche. What was the ticking sound though?

Hi Ray, that's the mechanical tripmaster ticking every 10 meters. This was during an oldtimer rallye which goes once around Mont Blanc mountain in 1 day (380 km) Enjoy your trip in summer, try to go early in the morning to avoid all bicycles, bikers etc. Have fun and drive safe!
