Yeah definitely needs to be buffed cuz like come on I'm crashing to the ground at LIGHTSPEED! That shit should at least do more damage than a regular normal attack
@@sparrow6110 it's the fucking final boss of the dlc. And the weapon does fucking holy damage. Balance against what ragadon? "Oh no we can't have player's destroying Elden beast with a HOLY DAMAGE WEAPON because that would be too overpowered" as if pest thread spears and blasphemous blade isn't a thing
@@insertnamehere259ngl the lord seems better against players, npcs and smaller enemies cus it staggers a lot but light against bosses since its more damage in one hit and its shorter, its pretty hard to get off the whole ash of war on the lord swords against a boss
Honestly kind of feel light could've been a tad better. Had they done the mirror image multi slashes instead of like a wall of light burst for 2 seconds.
The name "lightspeed slash" reminds me of the attack where he slams you with multiple afterimage attacks. If they have done that it would've been so much cooler than whatever we got.
@@zentazym1this is literally makes no sense for balance, because of quickswap, and because of different start of weaponarts. Logically it's great for stance weaponart, because of focus on stances in DLC, and because it's literally parts of one boss moveset, but devs was just lazy on this weapon
I dont understand why they didnt just combine these two swords into one, make the aow for the lord swords a tapping L2, and making the aow for the light swords a holding L2
For those wondering how these paired colossal swords work, they're a quality based build with a touch of magic. I recommend you invest your points mainly into strength and dexterity, then put the remaining into intelligence. I'm a level 165 player, and instead of showing you the whole stats, I'll just go ahead and show you how I have mine set up: 50 strength 40 dexterity + Milicent's Prosthesis 25 intelligence Altogether, these stats have both paired colossal swords sit comfortably around 834, while the Starscourge Greatsword is 11 points higher. While the numbers seem different, however, as soon as you start using them in PvE and PvP, the actual numbers are fairly similar. It all comes down to how the player uses them.
Imo the starscourge greatswords are still better because their aoe is much wider, and there's more talismans that buff its damage than the lord or light ones
This greatsword one of greatest disapointments for me in DLC. I mean, seriously ? From Radahn + Miquella, from most disgusting and most annoying boss in whole FromSoft games, you take one of two... Literally similar dual greatswords, with magic damage instead of holy (really, why ? This weapon have literally Miquella's holy strikes, why it's magic ? Why it's STR+INT weapon, we're already have gravity Radahn greatswords in base game, why we can't take holy version in DLC, for STR+FTH builds ?), and with two different weaponarts. Why not two in one ? Like Rellana's swords, like night and flame sword, like Moonveil, like Friede's scyth ? Why we're have so few boss weapons with double weaponarts ? Why weapon from most difficult boss in game divided in two weapons ?
@@acvarisli not really bad, just not too strong. Like Romina's polearm. Not bad, but not great. I complaining only about dividing on two similar weapons with two different weaponarts, and with INT scailing, instead of FTH. It's just looks idiotic, like devs done this weapons in last day, like "we're have no time, let's just copying Radahn's GS two times, and give it two FTH-like but magic AoW from his second phase."
@notmyemail506 the comment seems to imply there is a follow-up for the Light ash of war, there is not. Why does a comment that doesn't know what they're talking about have 7 likes
@@geonidus3062 I personally like starscourge more but starscourge is most a strength weapon with a bit of int and lord version is a quality weapon with a little bit of int.
