In order. Hestia got eaten first and thrown up last. Thats why her "physical" body is not like the other gods. Also, Hestia has another name/title: "The First and the Last". She is the first child but also the last. Poseidon got thrown out in the ocean, Hades got thrown into the crater. Demeter fall in the field of wheat. And the beautiful Hera didn't have the time to fall, she just flew in the sky until Zeus save her.
some versions say that since Hestia was stuck in Kronos's stomach the longest, her physical form turned half obsolete, and that's why she ended up appearing as a phantom lady in the flames and became the Goddess of Hearth
In some versions of the Hypnos-Zeus myth, Zeus barges in without care, argues with her and they come to a compromise. Further in other versions of the Rise of Typhon myth, Nyx herself flees with all other gods bar Zeus. Not saying your wrong or arguing, just pointing out other versions of the myths.
@@ethanm7482 Most myths show her as second only to her father Chaos in power and that she mostly stayed out of the affairs of others and only got involved if it concerned her ir her children.
This makes zues seem more like a hero in the beginning at least alongside his brothers they revolted against the titans and claimed the world for themselves
Zeus was the hero. As was Cronos. The point of the story is that all men fear being dethroned by thier sons. Each generation is meant to be better than the last and those who do not learn from the mistakes of thier predecessors are doomed to repeat thier fall.
Plot twist: Gaia maried with her own son. Zeus married his sister, same with Cronos. PS: Cronos's punishment was: to be choped many pieces and scattered around Tartarus.
Actually Uranus wasn’t her son. He and Gaia, along with the other primordial gods, were born from the void of chaos. It’s just that this version of the story tells the story of Gaia and Uranus differently for some reason. I read Percy Jackson so I know 😎
The story of the changing orders of the gods from Uranus to Cronus to Zeus explains the allegory of changing generations just like how the Baby Boomers are now replaced by Millenials and Millenials are now replaced by Gen Z and later Gen Z will be replaced by Gen Alphas. Everything is just a cycle of seasons and changes. PS: I hope you will also make a video about the Ages of Man according to Greek Myth like the Golden Age ruled by Saturn (Cronus), Silver Age, Bronze Age, Age of Heroism, and Iron Age and the five species of humans created and destroyed by Zeus.
First Titans, then (mostly) replaced by God's, who then sired/birthed Demigods (some of which ascended to Godhood) then (most of) the Giants showed up to run the ones, and then yeah, mortals do whatever nowadays 😅
So,the order of the children of the Titan god Cronus is this: 1.Hestia,the Olympian goddess of the hearth (Eldest daughter) 2.Hera,the Olympian goddess of childbirth and womanhood and The Queen of The Gods (Second-eldest daughter) 3.Demeter,the Olympian goddess of food and the harvest (Middle daughter) 4.Hades,the Olympian god of The Underworld (First-youngest son) 5.Poseidon,the Olympian god of the seas, earthquakes and horses (Second-youngest son) And... 6.Zeus,the Olympian god of lightning and thunder and The King of The Gods (Third-youngest son)
The birth order of the daughters is this: Hestia first, Demeter second and Hera third. Hera occupies the same position among the daughters of Kronos as Zeus does among the sons, whether that means being considered the youngest (Hesiod) or the oldest (Homer).
Demeter is also the goddess of the Earth's fertility. Hera is also the goddess of commitment and marriage. Zeus is also de god the the sky. Hades is also the god of the dead.
I’m not gonna lie... I don’t get the reference 😅 But wasn’t there a myth where Zeus learned that either Apollo or Artemis would eventually overthrow him? I might be wrong.
If Gaia was already able to have offsprings without the male counterpart, then I don’t understand why she needed one after Uranus to have offsprings again…
Primordial gods that came from either Chaos or Gaia alone and titans which came from union of Gaia and Uranus had different properties Considering that Primordial gods are not 'gods of' but are 'embodiment of', there can be only so many of them
Some say Aphrodite could actually be part titan, because she was born from Uranus’s testicles, not born from one of the first generation Olympians or from the Titans.
Who exactly says that? There are plenty of beings born from Ouranos who aren't called titans, such as the kyklopes, the hekatonkheires, the gigantes, the erinyes and the nymphai meliai, so why would Aphrodite be considered any measure of titan? And that's not to mention that she is a daughter of Zeus in an equally old tradition.
The difference is the mother. Gaia gave them their strength 💪 and therefore made them Titans. So the seed gave them their form and mind, but the soil gave them their strength and regenerative ability, etc
Well, not really, Gaia is supposed to be the Earth herself (at least in the myth) and didn't give birth to the Earth (this is where this video is kind of inaccurate) but did give birth to the Mountains, the Ocean, and the Sky (Uranus).
0:28 After Gaia give birth to Planet called Earth now beginning everything. That was impossible in history comic about The Rise of the Gods. 7:59 They were free from Cronus stomach by Zeus himself in many years now revolt against him and Titans. 9:45 Thanks to One eye person give them a weapons against Titans 11:12 Olympus has won over Titans. Now they put Cronus prison for punishment his deed take over world. World is saved by Olympus now began in the universe. 👏 That was fantastic. Totally awesome, from the beginning to the end. Great story!
You guys are the best!! This video was awesome and I look forward to many more pantheons! Wish nothing but good luck guys!!😁😁 Also I really hope you'll cover the Norse Pantheon sometime in the near future. It's my favorite mythology.😊
Dude the helmet shows everyone their worst fears. A mortal will obviously die after not even facing half the power of the helmet and gods can be mind f****d using that thing.
Zeus was helped constantly and his weapon was made by the mortals ciclops. Zeus was helped by the sea nymph Tethis when the other gods turned against him. He is nothing without the others gods.
@@marian1000brb a mother saving her child is not help but her duty and yes he was helped by Metis and I do not disagree but do you think without Zeus delivering the potion or even planning to free his siblings would this have happened? Also Zeus freed the cyclopes so they do have a job to repay him and they did by building him the weapon and it was a 100 arms giant who was loyal to him due to him freeing the 100 arms giant from tartarus that saved him when other gods turned against him not a sea nymph. So in conclusion only Metis helped him and he was the one who helped the others and he just enjoyed their gratitudes.
Abomination? That giant is a chad for being this loyal. Most friends gonna abandon you in that situation and you call him an abomination? Just cuz he was born with 100 arms that's dissapointing.
When Gaia & Uranus "United" & made their first set of children, which were cyclops & monsters, then made their second set of children, which were powerful titans I wondered why was their first set of children monsters & their second set powerful titans. Then I went to a different mythology video -(Japanese Mythology if you're curious)- & it stated _"The proposing was not the role of the female."_ So essentially, according to the other video, the reason why Gaia & Uranus' first set of children were monsters was because Gaia took the first initiative of "uniting" instead of Uranus & it created monsters because of that. However, when Uranus did the initiative for the second set, they became titans. Is that correct for Greek Mythology?
The order of Gaia and Ouranos' children is not set in stone. For instance, in the oldest surviving ancient Greek theogony, the Titans are the first set of children born to them.
This is a amazing mythology story! Can you please do Philippine next on your channel please? Also if you can please do Titans next please? How many female Titan were there?
The animation and music are hauntingly beautiful. You've inspired me to learn about Greek mythology all over again. Thank you! This is amazing. New sub here.
Does Zeus realise that letting Hera sit at his feet makes things more problematic for his reputation rather than spreading his dominant demeanor? Or is it just an artistic interpretation?
@ايجون تارجاريين and from that moment on I swore to never try to harm Zeus again. So when he started his numerous affairs, it’s no wonder I took out that anger on the women and children.
@@omniavanitas7893 problematic because when 'ancient' normal people would see that a supreme god is not giving importance to his own wife who's also another supreme level goddess what would they make of it? Would they not think this might be how every wife should be treated? Also gods often claim to be the supreme in terms of spiritual and ethical values... But this type of behaviour hardly makes them appear in that light.
@@hera7884 Except Zeus started his affairs long before Hera and her group of insurgents made their poor attempt to rebel, so she also targeted his children and baby mamas long before that,. Besides, no primary Greek source mentions any kind of oath made by Hera to Zeus and in fact she did even worse things against him than simply trying to tie him up.
See U in History/ Mythology where do you get your Greek mythology stories information from? Im really into Greek mythology especially the Greek gods and goddesses and have bought some books but they say the same thing and talk about the myth not the actual story part which is the part I am most interested in.
Well, the Theogony (Hesiod), the Illiad (Homer), and the Odyssey (Homer) are probably the most popular and ancient sources of Greek Mythology (along with some other poems, plays, and other sources). And this creation is probably based on the Theogony, which is probably the oldest source of the greek creation myth we have right now.
@@Lasershadow you call destruction and nature raging over the Greek world as “good ending” I have to respectably disagree. This ending is merely a fantasy of the makers of this game; moreover, we don’t know if someone won’t make a better adaptation of the Greek Pantheon in the future.
@@cukrux8376 It's a good ending as in the only ending that can't be taken back. An ending as in the Gods are gone for good and mankind can grow on it own without over powered arrogant children making toys out of them.
Does the mythology give any reason why the supreme deity of the universe didn't know he was eating a rock? That should at least be a basic ability of the supreme god of everything.
Well, i think, most of storyteller from past time didn't really need any logic relation about their story. It just like "that's how you make myth more colorful, isn't it?"
Cronus is no supreme being, merely the supreme ruler: the lord of the Titans. The gods of Greek Mythology are not omnipotent and omniscient, just powerful beings with special abilities tied to their given domains. Cronus seems to have been a fertility god and throughout his reign the Earth was green and blessed, but he is not some sort of master of the universe.
These are the six children of Cronos (King of the titans and the titan of time) and Rhea (Queen of the titans and the titan of motherhood and fertility): Hestia: Greek goddess of hearth, home, hospitality and belief. Queen of home. Demeter: Greek goddess of Earth's fertility, agriculture, harvest and food. Queen of nature. Hera: Greek goddess of birth, women fertility, commitment, marriage and womanhood. Queen of the gods. Hades: Greek god of the underworld, the dead and darkness. King of the underworld. Poseidon: Greek god of the sea, rivers, lakes, aquatic life, earthquakes and the equine. King of the oceans. Zeus: Greek god of the sky, lightning, thunder, wind and the king of the gods.
and so therefore their children (the Titans including the parents of the olympian gods) would’ve been Gaia’s grandchildren and her children at the same time interesting
i common theme i see in mythology is that often the horrendous acts gods do in trying to prevent prophecies set in motion the chain of events that fulfil the prophecy, there's a lesson to be learned in this, violence and tyranny is never the answer and in the end will always lead to ruin, "a peace born from violence is no peace at all" -destiny 2 season 14 lightweight frame kinetic sidearm.
i feel very much similarity between this Greek mythology and our Indian mythology like god shree krishna birth .... and story of kansh while the god of universe being indra which changes .... goddess earth laxmi ji in form of bhumata..... there is so many similarity
