I think it would be interesting to know, how did you find out about the show, how did you get tix, etc. I can sense the excitement in the room is off the charts ! Happy for all that are there !
@@jorgerodriguez85 I found out when I woke up at 3 am and saw a bunch of people talking about Green Day and FOB performing a secret show at Whisky A Go Go that night, like there was a FOB soundcheck clip of Light Em Up, then the Whisky A Go Go sign said "Hella Mega" and the doors to the venue said "no lining up until 10 am" (of course people did anyway, they were unofficially lined up across the street) and I got there at around 9:30 am, then they lined us up at 10 am and we got to buy our wristbands at noon (wasn't actually a ticket we bought but a green wristband that said hella mega tour). A lot of people left and came back later after getting their wristband, but I stayed all day to make sure I'd be as close as possible.
Yep McYeppington it’s because of the vantage point of the person recording it. They’re getting a mix of the on stage monitors and the front of the house sound.
The fact that so many people were able to see these 3 bands, who consistently sell out arenas, play a "smaller" club is fucking great... I don't like most of the newer music from these bands but I'd still love to have been there
I'm just excited to go to Hella Mega! I know it got canceled but im waiting for the summer of June 21st at Dodgers Stadium! Its my first concert and I love green day
The whole point of it is to make sure people can't record it on their phone. My Dad and brother went to a Green Day concert a couple years back and my Dad, who has been to hundreds of concerts said that the Green Day concert was the worst concert he'd ever been to because you couldn't hear anything over the bass. That's also why we're not going, because we knew this would happen.

I love when Billie just sings and let's someone else play. He really gets to be more energetic which helps getting the crowd going and i think its going to add to their sound and their energy greatly
I don’t agree with you on that. Billy engages the crowd with a guitar on as much as he does without one. It‘s different but it’s not more. Anyone who has ever been at a Green Day concert knows that he even uses his guitar to engage the crowd.
I saw them in little Rock couple years ago and man it was great everyone at the arena was really enjoying the show . They didn't play 21 guns but it was ok . A 3 hour concert was worth it
I can't believe today is the anniversary of this show 💕 I'm so glad I recorded it but at the same time I wish I would've recorded some of the before bits too because this was legit the best day of my life and it'd be nice to be able to look back on more of it. Either way I'm gonna be watching this today so at least we have this (which is the most important part, the bands performing) I doubt anyone will read this, but if you do, I hope you have a great day today c:

So cool to see this, thanks! I was traveling through California and talked to some people queueing at the Whisky after having dined at Rainbow. Kinda wish I'd stayed and hustled myself in.. 😂 Anyway, I caught a beautiful sunset that night at the observatory with my dearest friends who happened to be in LA at the same time. ❤️
It was £82 a ticket so I very much doubt it was $400+. You easily get double the songs for all the band's plus lighting and whatever else they put on. Having said that, this looks great and I love an intimate gig.

I’m seeing a lot of people upset about weezer opening and fob and weezer only getting half an hour, but this is a co headlining tour, so theoretically every band will get the same amount of time. And the Interrupters are opening, so weezer won’t be the opening band. I think the time and order for this show was different then the tour because this was a “secret show” as people are calling it. I’m pretty sure that’s what’s happening, so don’t get too upset yet.

@@SirGreenDay idk ab that fall out boy had hits in their album that came out in 2015 only 4 years ago, and they still play Weezer on the radio all the time, same with green day, I wouldn't say any of them are irrelevant, I also wouldn't say green day "threw them a bone" but whatever

I like green day and weezer in my opinion there are some songs I don't care for I also like fall out boy I like there older music better but I do like there new just not as much
FRRR but I’d assume it’s the artists/band’s way to spice things up during their tour so they don’t bore themselves playing the same melodies over n over again.

@@fuzzball36 no they weren't going to kick any of the bands out but still none of them tried stopping it lol bands are always stage diving and doing crazy things even if the venue doesn't want them to
This is amazing. It’s funny though how Weezer was on for 26 minutes, Fall out Boy was on for 30 minutes, and then Green Day was like I’m gonna be on for 53 minutes.

For most of the concert, my arm was sitting on the stage so it wasn't a big problem. Usually if I record a whole concert and I'm not at barricade/the stage, then I just switch which hand is holding my camera a lot
i have 3 full concerts recorded on my phone and i literally have no storage left lmao. my phone died at a couple of the concerts i’ve been to so i made my parents record the rest of them lmao

I’m finally coming to see GREEN DAY! 😍😍😍 I was obsessed as a teenager. I had big carpets full of magazine cuts, and all and anything related to Green Day. All the albums, shirts everything. They introduced me to punk. The first song I hear was ‘wake me up when September ends’ , I had just turned 11 and bough the Bullet in a Bible CD with the money I got for my birthday in 2005 😭. I became a fan instantly. I watched the Bullet in a Bible DVD all day, everyday, dreaaaaaming to see them live. I was in Mexico. And I could only wish and dream to come true…… and now AFTER 16 YEARS it’s finally IS HAPPENING !!!! Going to see them in Colorado 😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 too many emotions will come out of me. You don’t understand. I had put this on my bucket- list, ever since I discovered them. Over and over again. IT´S HAPPENING!!!!✨

Billie has to be one of the most iconic rock stars of all time. Dude is just fucking there for it even when he's playing a 20-year-old song. Incredible stage presence.
This is the first time I’m watching anything related to the secret show.... I couldn’t watch it before because I was too devastated I couldn’t go but this hurts like hell
They definitely will be. Its gonna be a triple headliner. Weezer and FOB probably playing about an hour, Green Day probably playing their usual two hour set.

It’s kinda sad that this tour was canceled/postponed... also Weezer new album called “Van Weezer” Which is was also postponed because of the coronavirus
i knew from that first guitar feedback i heard that it was gonna be buddy holly and it felt SO damn good... took me right back to being in my moms backseat circa 2002... good times
