The new Greenworks 82V bicycle handle trimmer comes with grass blade and a string trimmer head. We wanted to test it with a brush blade. Results: Comfortabe, quiet & a powerful beast!
Looks to me like the rotation of the blade is counterclockwise as observed from the operators perspective and that the blade is indeed installed to ensure that the cutting tooth contacts the surface of the tree first if the head of the machine is moved from right to left. So, I don't understand why the operator is moving the his machine from left to right which would cause the back of the cutting tooth to contact the tree first. Am I the only one who noticed this? Or, am I just wrong? I've been cutting wood and trees for 60 years and I've always wanted the sharpened tooth to be the first thing to hit the wood!
Good demonstration, but I think the tecnique is not the most adecuate. You must cut from right to the left. If the disk was a clock, you cannot use from 12:00 to 2:00 cause the kickback! You can only use from 2:00 to 3:00 with caution when you are expertise, but the secure way is from right to left (9:00 to 12:00)
I had a model older than this one that I love. This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
