I've had a CRZ 426 (60 volt instead of 80) for about the same amount of time. For those who may not know, or wonder what the differences are, the 80 volt (CRZ 428) is sold as a "commercial" and the 60 volt (CRZ 426) is sold as the "residential" version. The frame, wheels, deck, etc. are the same. The electrical components are the difference. When I was looking at these, I went to an authorized dealer and looked at a 428, to see how well it was constructed, and was VERY impressed. The frames aren't thin stamped pieces with a couple of spit welds at joints, like many riders and even "box store" zero turns. These are thicker frames with solid welds, which was a selling point, since I was coming from older (mid to late 70s) Cub Cadet Quietline 1250/1450/1650 Garden Tractors that were built to last. Like you, I haven't had any real issues my Greenworks mower (or other Greenworks 60 volt tools) and those that I have are part of the safety design. They are: 1) I one bush that can be difficult to mower around/under. I have to be careful that the branches don't cause me to stop or pull the handles outward, or the mower shuts down. Getting "stuck" in the bush makes it difficult to move the levers out to "reboot" the mower. - Again, the shutdown is part of the safety built into modern mowers to stop/shutdown if there is too much resistance. 2) I've had a couple of instances where one deck motor stops and I have to shutdown, remove the batteries, clear the deck, and then restart everything. -The root cause both times was mowing in longed, thick, wet grass, at my normal mow height (2.5") AND I use the mulching cover, so the resistance on one motor got too high, and the system shut the motor off, then threw a code about 5 second later. - Safety/design feature. Like you, I've tipped mine over once, but it wasn't while mowing. I loaded the mower onto my trailer, took it up to my parents house, in case we needed it to mow (their mower engine broke and we were going to swap in a "new" engine, but didn't know if it would be a quick and easy swap or if we would need to modify things.). Anyway, when I got home, I started to back the mower off the trailer, and one of the ramps kicked out, resulting in the mower (with me on it) going over backwards. - I IMMEDIATLY recognized what was happening, and made "adjustments" to my arms, legs, head, and body, so that I could "catch" myself and push the weight of the mower away from me. - The only damage to the mower is a small tear in the foam on one handle, and like I've mentioned in the other "issues", the mower has safety features/sensors, that shut the power off on it (even though the blades weren't on). In the video, you mention not being able to charge the batteries in the mower. This is a double edge sword for me. I would like to be able to plug the mower in and charge, but I also like (and need) the ability to remove the batteries. I pull the batteries and store them "inside" during the winter, so that they won't freeze and get damaged (freezing any battery is bad), so pulling 6 batteries that weight about as much as a gallon of milk (each) isn't bad. - The way I charge my batteries is that I pull two, throw them on a charger, and in about 90 minutes, they are ready to go. I swap them back in, put the next two on the charger, and so on. - I also put a piece of tape with numbers 1-6 on the batteries, so that I can put them back in the same spot, but moreover, whenever they start to "die", I can track which one(s) are the weaker ones). I've seen a video where someone else has one of these, and they mow around 3 acres. Their approach is to install 3 batteries and charge 3 while they mow. Their comment is that the 3 in the mower last approximately as long as it takes to charge the 3, so they simply swap out and by the time the second set of 3 is used, they can swap again and finish or nearly finish their acreage. It's an interesting approach, and one I might use, if I had that much land, but I don't.

Wow, what a fantastic and informative comment that was much more information than I had in my video. Thank you so very much for sharing. Since that one incident I had with my mower where I was being a bit reckless and turned it over. I have had no further issues. My grass does not grow very thick so I have not had the blade resistant stoppage that you referred to however it’s nice to know that that will occur. Again, I do appreciate all the information you have provided. Thanks so very much for watching.

I had 2 of these CRZ 428's from Costco...came with 12 batts, so you always had power, abd the carry bags for them....I got tired of yanking batts, and also wanted a bigger deck, so I moved up to the Maximus Z, 54" deck, and just plugvit in to charge, don't need to remove batts, but can if you want Was about 2k more, but a much beefier machine all around

Oh wow thanks for the comment. I think that would be a little bit big for my yard though, but would love to try one out.

How long, or how many hours are you actually getting with the Maximus Z 54"? Have you had it on any gentle slopes or grades? If I were to get a Greenworks ZT mower, this model peeks my interest the most, but there aren't many (if any) videos on it from the consumer.

@scottk.8494 so, as far as run time, that is roughly the same as if was with the CRZ428 ...they claim " up to 3 acres" I believe, but, neither models will do that 🤷‍♂️ my whole place is 3 acres, once you deduct the house, big polebarn, and long driveway, I maybe have 2 acres tops of grass....I cant even finish the whole front before outta power, even with the larger deck...can do the back and have power to spare though..... Hills & inclines: all ZT mowers are an issue in this respect....heading down, since the front wheels are "free-wheeling" casters, the weight tends to take over and decides where it's heading, unlike a conventional mower where the wheels are actually hooked to steering....so, you have to plan on heading uphill in most cases to avoid this...speaking of avoiding, they also tend to tear up a sod patch on tight, quick turns, due to independent rear drive motors...something you learn to adjust to minimize this.... Yup, I didn't see any good vids on this model either...over all I'm happy with it, definitely a beefier machine...one gripe is, the charging, while just plugging it in is nice, when it's fully charged, the charger keeps going, not over charging, but the fan and whatnot keeps going...so, I don't leave it once its done, I have to go back to the polebarn and unplug from the machine....don't want it running constantly....annoying because the removable batts for the CRZ428 has 3 separate chargers, but, they shut all the way off when done, no worries about them running on & on 😉

Any error codes that stopped the mower indefinitely? I have an MR22 and MR23 (loose wiring and an overtemp). You would have thought the temp would have been fixed by resting the mower. Wasn't the case. It's now in warranty repair and I am a little angry at the problems associated with getting the warranty fix. My Costco purchase came with 12 batteries so I can charge one set while cutting with the other. That's pretty easy. Finding 3 different outlets close together wasn't easy so I have chargers in 3 locations. That's a minor pain. Mower is good, mowing is good but why did I get the machine with the error codes!

Thanks for watching and that’s very interesting I have never heard of this so thanks for sharing. 12 batteries wow wish mine came that way. Well I hope you get yours fixed soon. Thank again for the info 👍

You can't draw enough amps from a standard outlet to charge all the batteries quickly and simultaneously. Hence the 3 external charging cradles.

On the day I plan to mow or the day before, I begin charging them two at a time, . Each pair takes about 60-90 minutes to charge (from 25% to full). You could charge 4 at a time, on one 15 amp circuit (not the same outlet), assuming that there aren't other high draw applicants/tools being used. You would start one charger with two batteries, then wait a few minutes and start the second charger with two more batteries. Plugging the third charger into a different circuit would allow you to charge all six batteries at once.

I thought that the green works came with a bag for the batteries so you can transport all at once.
