Michael Sembello did Maniac of the Flash Dance too, they both have mad energy like no other tunes i've heard! He also worked with Stevie Wonder, check out the underrated In a Square Circle album for stuff kind of like this.

I wonder if Jeff Dunham based his dummies off the four main Mogwais from Gremlins 2? George could be Walter (both are curmudgeons), Lenny could be Bubba J (both are dimwitted and act drunk), Daffy could be Peanut (both are hyperactive nuts), and I'm guessing Mowhawk is Achmed the Dead Terrorist (because of their sinister ways)

the music back then sounds a bit beter then the popular rock today. they shud mix both themes songs together, so kids and adults can be happy

@TheHeenanFamily if you really want the song your best bet it to torrent the song as people are sharing the songs. I figured if you wanted to buy the c/d you may have a hard time because they retail for a rediculous price on amazon. Look for the gremlin soundtrack mega madness song.
