Would love to see an updated deck tech for Grenzo. Lots of newer cards work really well with him.

There’s a fun Goblin Tribal build of this, but if you’re not doing that: Thief of Blood is a little situational (someone has to be playing planeswalkers or counter buffs or counter-involving wincons) but it’s REALLY good when it’s good. Murderous Rider is an Adventure removal if you draw it, and then the body goes to the bottom of the library as a triggered ability when it dies, which makes it perfect for any number of loops this deck generates.

Murderous Rider goes to the bottom when it dies. This goes infinite with Ashnod’s + Grenzo. Pair this with blood artist or maybe Desecrated Tomb/Tormod since it hits the GY twice each time in and out.

Grenzo Value is my Commander deck for years. Mu built is only Power 2 or less so I cast Grenzo for 2. Only creature with power 3 is Zelous for the Doomsday combo. My concept is Grenzo + 50 creatures. So you always have 51% chance on sucsess on the ability. a non creature non land card must be very special to enter the deck. I run 9: Ashnod's Altar; Tel-Jilad Stylus; Thran Turbine; Braid Of Fire; Fire Covenant; Lightning Bolt, Demonic Tutor, Doomsday, Toxic Deluge.

another cool combo is Murderous Redcap + Metalic Mimic + sac. inf damage that don't even need Grenzo.

The hideaway lands are the best Bottom manipulation on the deck

Main cards I would sugest: Hideaway lands; Braid Of Fire; Soldevi Adnate. (Honorable mentions: Balthor the defiled; Marton Strogald; Ophiomancer; Sadistic Hypnotic)

What I love to do with grenzo is to use him for a chaos deck. Distract all my opponents with massive threats, then pump shit out with grenzo.

I like this very much. I was looking for a janky deck to build on a budget. Only issue is we have set a $60 budget... so I'm gonna see if I can make it work for half the price... sorry, ashnods alter...

Garna returns to hand, no tthe battlefield, so it's not that synergistic/explosive. Does give extra resources though

With the new death rule for commander would grenzo go to the bottom of your library with the cauldron out? Or can you still put him in the command zone?

Hey David! Great question. I always like to preface these questions by saying I'm not a judge or rules expert. However, in this case, I believe you would have a choice. In other words, you will have the option when Grenzo dies to put it into the command zone. If you decline this, then when the cauldron trigger resolves, Grenzo would go to the bottom of your library.

The Mana Fix yeah I find this new rules confusing I think you are correct though. I bugs me because they have to die but if they go somewhere else you have a choice. It’s just not consistent because I feel like with tucking them into library’s they would have to get there first just like they die. Know what I mean

So i have an older grenzo deck (2-3 years) but it has over 20,000 infinite combos. Watching this has shown me at least 3 more cards that will add many infinites. Specially the chalice. ❤️❤️ My deck uses grenzo at 4 power not 3 though so i have cards like thermopod and deathbringer thoctar as well. Another card that works amazingly in the deck is nim death mantle because it can go infinite in a tonne of situations where grenzo is locked out with cards like phyrexian revoker or your when table is using all their removal to keep him dead.

@@themanafix a decent amount. It’s the only deck I’m interested in trying to make competitive. I don’t currently have any 30$+ cards in many of my decks but eventually i’d like this one not to be remotely budget. Thank you so much for the suggestions ❤️ If you’d like any suggestions let me know

What are some of these combos? I'll add my own personal flare of course because I don't personally like sticking to someone else's deck tech 100% but I also love giving the biggest upgrades to certain decks while keeping others casual

My artifact storm deck is a good example of one I've completely maxed out on, it has roughly a 95% win rate thus far and I'm always upgrading it in various ways
