@JennieJuanda They were seen as insects and nobody wanted to eat them. They were even fed to prisoners as punishment. Although people began to wonder why the prisoners continued to eat the entire lobster after begging for better food lol.
Cause lobster meat rotted quickly; when lobster rots, its meat got mushy and it gave it a bad off taste. Peasants and prisoners almost never gotten fresh lobster since they cooked it long after they died.
When I smoke I always think the same about whatever it is I'm munching on at the time: I be like "I wonder who chased the first cow and said that white stuff looks drinkable..." Or like "who do you think was the first dude who chased a chicken and put it to a flame to eat it?" Ish like that
I VISITED THAILAND WHEN I WAS IN THE NAVY. WE PULLED INTO PATTYA BEACH AND ANCHORED OUT AT SEA. THAI PEOPLE ARE VERY KIND AND THEIR SEAFOOD IS THE BEST. THANK YOU THAILAND!!🇺🇸❤️👍
According to one culinary historical tale, now, no one man turns the tide on his own but foodie historians will tell you that Auguste Escoffier, the Frenchy chef who invented many lobster classic dishes like Thermidor - was the guy who convinced the wealthy that it's a luxurious protein to eat.
Many years ago Lobster was considered a poor man's meal and since many years have pasted it slowly became a popular delicious thing to eat, it was cheap, tasty and plentiful. In recent years up till modern times it's now considered high end and expensive to eat because of what it is.
