In the UK many older houses have a gravity fed water from a tank in the roof. The problem is getting a decent flow from modern taps. A test of the lowest pressure mixer I have seen advertised so far..
yes after using then for 3 months I installed a return pipe to the tank and small pump so we don't have to wait for the water to arrive. Once flowing it is OK.
Thank for that I am looking at what's my flow rate on bath taps a we have a combi boiler? And would like put a shower bar thermic control. I will need check the flow rate.
Made the same error. Bought grohe high pressure taps installed a whole unit and now there's bugger all pressure... If I just change the tails would that be enough?
It might improve it but the Grohe 'low pressure' taps aren't the same as they used to be. We have a bathroom fitted with Grohe mixers that flow very well with just 10 feet of head. We installed them in about 2007, I think they are these chrome- 23 7121 . The spec rates them from 0.1 bar upwards. I wish I had got these instead. I cant be 100% sure so speak to a Grohe specialist. You can see that have a bigger nose with more flow. The 23 7121 ones we have work much better than those shown in this video.
I have a kitchen tap which all of a sudden the flow is a lot less then when new. I guess it needs cleaning. its a boiling water tap 2 in1. Is it a case of taking a spanner to the tip unscrew? I'm trying to refrain from damaging it.
Depends where the limescale has built up. Have you tried just propping a jug of warm descaler under the water outflow on the tap? Leave it overnight....
@@razenby hi thanks for replying. I have left a solution of vinegar and water on there for a long period of time however didn’t make much a of a difference.
